There was no undercarriage damage or anything like that. A very small dent in the rear quarter and passenger door was damaged. Tailight and bumper were replaced because of some damage. This car has been completely repaired from the damage it had which was NOT undercarriage or frame damage.

The DMV gave it a clear title once registered in CA because it wasn't frame damage or major damage. They wouldn't do that if it was frame damaged. Anyone is welcome to come and test drive it to see that it has no problems. I love this car and I would keep it but I make good profit if I sell it and I need the money.

 

What was broken on the rearend?

 

The bumper cover and taillight were damaged, instead of repairing them they were replaced to avoid the rear from having any imperfections.

I wouldn't call that 'minor damage' ..............and it did have a salvage title in MO.....but a clean one in Cali.....In Texas that's called 'washing the title' ...............i see why it's so clean now ...............
As I said before, I sold a perfectly honest coupe with similar mileage for $13k, so anything with any damage, never mind dubious history is going to sell for much less ...............sorry, that's just a fact

 

Sadly my Alabaster coupe was totaled just two months ago with far less damage.

I'm interested but at 9k. I have no idea the quality of those repairs or the true history of the car. Its basically a long shot for the next owner.

 

This one has been in the for sale section before I do believe .. seems I had pulled that salvage auction up a couple months ago. "If" the repairs were of any quality I'd think 9k price just about puts him at a break even margin.

 

It's considered minor if its no frame damage. 9k is way to low for this car.

 

These cars don't have a frame, they're monocoque construction

 

Aside from the rear fascia and taillight it looks like the rearend and the wheel were both either replaced or repaired as well, no?

 

NY I believe deems the car totaled at 75%, would be around $10,000.

Are you on crack? I drive this car myself everyday. A parts car? Now that's something I haven't heard before. However you came to that conclusion please let me know. I don't think a parts car can beat a Nissan 350z very easily, but whatever you say...

I don't mean to be rude, but I don't appreciate my car and my word being insulted like that. It's an amazing car that was repaired with skill and patience. You wouldn't even know it was in an accident. It is in great condition.

 

But it was in an accident and totaled. Say what you want, its a documented wreck. Remember, A monkey in a suit, is still a monkey in a suit.

The deal is shady, because it has been TOTALED by an insurance company, bought by them, sold at a salvage auction and given a salvage title ...fact
You can buy a car with the same mileage that has not been in an accident for the same money.
You are trying to sell a car with a supposed clean title, when in actuallity it has been written off.
Even if it was repaired professionally, (and no-one knows that for sure but you) the salvage is still in it's history, and needs to be disclosed. The salvage title was no mistake !
At least e-bay has some respectibility if they're making you disclose the title, as I'm sure Craigslist etc will not.
Oh, and if there was no other damage to the car, why does the rear wheel, have a different camber/alignment than the one's I sold ?

There was no problem with wheel alignment when I got the car. KBB quotes a clean car with my mileage at $14,000 - $16,000. I've only seen one for sale at my mileage and he wanted $14,500.

I didn't mention it because it was really nothing, the main damage was the door. In the rear all it needed was a new bumper, tailight, and a credit card sized dent fixed.
