Yep.. have to keep an eye on this one. Had the opportunity to purchase one a couple weeks back that had been in a wreck. Cosmetic damage but running through parts prices for "obvious" items had me right around 7K in it at least.

 

AND technically the wife can't "count" an SLK32 as you buying another Crossfire! (That's my current line of thinking on the subject anyway)

 

If I give you her phone # think you can plead that case for me? "That Look" is getting kinda scary when I say "oh wow.. look at this one"..

 

Try telling her it's an investment . . . not a good one . . . but still an investment.

 

Hey guys! This is my car! I have owned a couple of SLK's for the past 14 years, but unfortunately I have to let this one go. As most of you might know I put a Crossfire center console in the SLK with a carbon fiber wrap just because I loved the look. The Needswings manni's are also Carbon Fiber wrapped, and they look unbelievable. Sadly, I'm going through a divorce, and have a 4 year old, so I never drove the car much, and now I need to liquidate some assets, which include my SLK. I would LOVE for this car to stay in the SLK or Crossfire community. Guy's I put about 20k in options on this car on top of the purchase price, but I really need to sell quick (hence the No Reserve eBay listing).


Last year I turned down a $25k offer because I never thought I would be selling it, but now I'm just kind of hoping to get $20k on the eBay auction, but we'll see. If anyone buys it from this forum, I'll let you inspect it prior to finalizing the purchase, so if you don't think it's worth what you paid for it, you don't have to buy it (I'm confident that you'll think it's worth all the money after seeing it and driving it). Thanks! I tried very hard to be as tasteful with the mods as possible. I wanted it to still look like something that might come from the factory with just a little more attitude. The thing that I love so much about this car is that it still gets so much attention no matter where I drive it (Cars and Coffee, Car Shows, etc., etc.). It's just such a classic design, and much better than the current SLK's IMO. I just hated the interior, so I spent a lot of time (and $$$$) updating the look.

 

I've got this car in my EBay watch box grip grip. INDYJOE just lives north of me, a little less than a two hour drive. Problem is the wife would probably shoot me and not much room in the garage.

I was very tempted when the one here was offered up till I got to running a parts repair list and saw prices.. OUCH.. Not to mention lack of availability ... think its worse than a Crossfire.
