https://bringatrailer.com/listing/20...rossfire-27-2/

Sure seems to have a lot of road rash on the underside for 11,000 miles.

Some people just don't understand the danger of running up on and over parking curbs. Other than that, I think the underside looks pretty clean . . .

Most folks don't concern themselves with how the front lower valance and/or bumper looks since it isn't visible w/o getting up close & under the car. But for me, when looking at a potential Crossfire to purchase (or any used car, for that matter), I always rub my hand along the underside of the front bumper to see if I feel the "parking barrier rash". Tells me a lot about the previous owner(s) attitude(s) regarding overall care of the car. Always makes me wonder what other issues exist.

With 11000 miles I would also be concerned with oil changes through the years.

.

I have ALWAYS wondered if a different cluster can be put into a Crossfire car and have it work?

I thought the mileage was stored in the ecu so it could not be changed? The ecu is programmed to a specific vin.

Could be, I had asked this a while back but never got an answer. Wouldn't it be screwy if it could be swapped and work?

It would be scary because you would never really know what you are buying. I know it has been swapped by before so maybe someone will chime in?

It does

The mileage is stored in the cluster

now everyone run out and pick up a low mileage cluster from EBay

Nope

It’s in the cluster and you can swap between clusters with either miles or Kilometres and SRT or NA

If swapping between imperial vs metric the temp will also show in the format selected

don’t pull any of the needles off unless you have a way (Star Dias) to reset them all to zero again

Good to know Peter. You can also change any cluster from imperial to metric or vice versa using Star Das

Hey Peter, I have to respectfully disagree with you. The actual mileage is in the ECU and if you swap clusters I believe the actual vehicle mileage will still display in the new (low mileage) cluster. There are ways of electronically altering the mileage that is stored in the ECU but it requires some knowledge, experience and (expensive) equipment. I presume you probably had some experience swapping clusters when you swapped an SRT6 cluster into your N/A roadster conversion??

I've been wrong before . . . 5 times already this year. If I'm wrong about this someone please let me know so I can re-adjust my brain. Just sayin' . . .
