Who is the manufacturer of the center link that you ordered?

~ Ordered new siren alarm to replace existing one. Disassembled wiper arms and cowling , removed all debris, opened drain holes, removed old alarm, opened to replace batteries but circuit board was ruined.
~ Observed oil leak at a crack in the oil filler neck and cap. Ordered new parts and gaskets.
~ Sale on hold until these repairs are done.

I'm not questioning the replacement of the center link, but I always understood that the best way to tighten-up the steering was to get a new steering damper.
https://howtune.com/articles/204-rep...sler-crossfire
They are not expensive either plus an untrained orangutan can install a new one.
https://www.partsgeek.com/catalog/20...ng_damper.html (this is the OEM unit, as I understand it... not OE, but OEM) $32.58
https://www.mercedespartscenter.com/...per-1244630432 This is a DISCOUNT Mercedes-Benz dealership & yet they still want $80.40

~ I mis-spoke on the damper and referred to it as the stabilizer in my first post, I have replaced them in the past on 2 of my other xfires. The steering is tight on this car, and I am not convinced that this one needs a new one.
~ Replaced both dome light bulbs.,,,needs glove box bulb.
UPDATE - Installed new siren/alarm. 03-02-21

how much are you looking to get for the car? I'm looking for a aero blue roadster to do a SRT swap to.

Alex, thanks, will let u know what is happening with twin turbo, now why would U-U_U want to swap a srt into a limited ,, go for the v8 and u will be so much happier take my word for it.
if i could get 3 or 4 V8 builds we could do it cheaper and quicker. jim

That’s nothing compared to what I want to do, I want to modify my SRT6 Aero Blue coupe with 40k into a Limited red roadster with an Mercedes folding hardtop with no miles on the odometer. After all how hard can it be? 😉

Let us all know what THREAD you will be posting these instructions to..."Get the HINT?" I hope so, I truly don't want this thread to turn ugly. Hijacking pretty much dissappeared in the 80's. (second HINT)

Thanks for understanding...........
~ Ordered lower passenger side ball joint. That is what the popping noise was when turning as well as the center link-tie rod ends...When it comes in, both will be replaced then the sale will re-commence. I cannot see selling this car yet until it has these issues taken care of.
UPDATE
..Wasn't the ball joint...08/13/21...Tightened passenger side wheel bearing and ordered idler arm bushing repair kit. Tie rod ends were OK as well...waiting on trunk lid lift supports then she can go bye bye to the next owner.
