Re: 2005 SRT-6 ROADSTER for sale in Central FL
Yes, I think less than 1200 miles has been put on it since. My father in law just didn't get to use it much due to his health. Now my wife is eyeballing it. LOL
Re: 2005 SRT-6 ROADSTER for sale in Central FL
When you include the other pictures would it be possible to take some of the underside of the car to make sure it's not rusty? It's about a day's drive for me, so I just want to be sure it would be worth my time. Thanks, Matt
Re: 2005 SRT-6 ROADSTER for sale in Central FL
unfortunately, my 81 year old father in law can't do that and I"m hours away. Sorry.
I would be shocked if there was rust since it's been in the south, inland, and almost always garaged. The last time I bought a car out of town, we negotiated the price via phone/email pending an inspection. Then I had the owner run it over to a local shop of my choice, where I paid the shop to inspect it. That way, you aren't making a long drive for nothing. Just a suggestion.

Re: 2005 SRT-6 ROADSTER for sale in Central FL
The pics with golf carts and a familiar gas pump tend to make me think this car is in the Villages, only 5 miles down the road.
Re: 2005 SRT-6 ROADSTER for sale in Central FL
I wouldn't think so but it's not close by for me to check I can't really ask my father in law to check either. He isn't in the best of health, technologically challenged, not good vision, etc. .

Picture of the drivers seat shows the stitching is torn. I enlarged the picture to see it better.
Re: 2005 SRT-6 ROADSTER for sale in Central FL
Hey Foxtail,
I noticed that you are beating up the car because of a tear in the stitching. Other than the fact that car is a STEAL at the mans asking price, but, for approx. 160 bucks, there is an upholstery shop up in Ocala, that does lots of high end restorations, and quoted me that price on a stitch tear repair, and they remove and replace the seat. Actually the leather is torn a bit and he said if he needed to replace the leather panel, he could do it for an additional 50 bucks. The seat must be operable was his only requirement. The upholstery shop I am referring to is a couple of blocks behind the House of Pancakes on 27/441, Pine Ave.

Re: 2005 SRT-6 ROADSTER for sale in Central FL
What good is information on a shop I already know about? He stated I was beating up on the car. Other than asking for clarification I did not beat up the car. I. Am trying to decide what the car is worth to me and how much I would have to put into it. I am a serious buyer so I think I should get whatever question I have answered. The owner stated that he did not think the seam was damaged.
Re: 2005 SRT-6 ROADSTER for sale in Central FL
you are both right in this case. It's a 15 year old car, so there are going to be some minor items.....a scratch here, a frayed stich there, maybe even a light bulb (gasp!). That is to be expected. A serious buyer isn't going to let that type of minor stuff bother them. Maybe they offer a couple hundred less because of what they see in person. No big deal. But when it comes to something major, like mechanicals, the top, tires, paint, accidents, clear title, etc, then I will list anything I see wrong that might actually influence a buyers decision. That is why the ad mentions needing tires in the next few thousand miles.
it also makes it a little harder that I'm not near the car. I know the car, it's a great car, well priced, described accurately, but I can't necessarily answer for very minor details like that. At some point, a buyer needs to be willing to come look at the car, or not. LOL.
Thank you. .

Re: 2005 SRT-6 ROADSTER for sale in Central FL
I wonder if the speakers behind the seats are operational and if not, would this deficiency be cause to allow a potential buyer to BEAT UP THE PRICE? It is widely known by those that frequent this site that those factory speakers had issues. (asking for a friend)

Why all the bad vibes? Everyone on this site used to try to help each other! Please try to not make things so personal.
