11,500 subtotal paid for 2004 XF

I have a 2005 Crossfire Ltd. purchased in Nov. 2005 with only 2 miles on odometer for $23,900. I am a dealer employee so I was fortunate to purchase with a $7,000.00 rebate, and employee price was another $3,500.00 discount, plus another $1,750.00 discount for employees only (that's something they don't offer the public).

Buying it for below 20k is good but how long can new owners hold on with the car considering it's high dollar maintenance!
Just think about replacing the tires alone! One pothole and your tire's gone!
I don't think this car is meant to be worth below the 30k considering the economic demographics on who can afford to maintain it. No offense but DC is not selling the crossfires initially for high schoolers and families whose annual income is below 100k when they first launch it.
Yes, it's affordable but the maintenance can be hard in the pocketbook to others compared with the Honda's and Toyota's. We can expect some owners dropping their crossfires in the next year or two due to its high maintenance value!

*sigh* I am one of those buyers that paid over $35K for my car... but regardless of how much I paid, I love my car and will gladly make my monthly payment...

I got an extended warranty on my car until 2012. Aside from typical things you'd pay to own any car, I won't spending any more money to own this car than any other. Sure, if a tire goes out it's expensive, more than others, but people understand that when buying the car. They know they aren't buying a Civic...it's not a spur of the moment car. You pretty much have to seek one out now, so you know what you're getting into.

By the way I paid cash for mine and plan on keeping the car till Chrysler goes belly up!
I have to qualify my answer, I bought used $24+K , w/2.7K miles on it. Chrysler program car first registered in Nov 2005.
Is that what I feel this car is worth, no, it's worth more. Is that my problem, not at the moment, getting parts in the future after it's discontinued, that will be my problem.

I agree BUT I am interested to see how many still have their Xfires. Please post if you still own the car and were part of the orginal thread. Thanks.
Just purchased my 2007 Roadster within the last 45 days.
Purchased from Smithhaven Chrysler in Long Island, New York.
Paid $18.5, had it listed on internet for $19.5 as non-negotiable...LOL.
Offered a 6/80,000 extended, and I took it, I figured one horror show with the Top, and I'm even.
Clean Carfax, one owner, 12.8k on the odometer when purchased, pristine both inside and out.
Very impressed with styling, handling, and overall performance.
I'm in pig heaven...
(Just took it in for the leaky valve cover issue on the driver side, Dealer said he would do both sides under warranty, and call it a day...).
