I'm a little confused because it says on that description for the spray on: "Other uses would include: inside an aluminum boat for a non-slip surface, aluminum stair treads, tool boxes, instant drawer liner, truck bed liners, car door thresholds (where your shoes scuff the paint), and on the back of hatches and trunks so you don't scratch the bumper or trunk lip."
If it's good to make a non slip surface, would it maybe be rough? Makes me think it may not be very smooth or shiny?
I was thinking it would be a good thing for the front of our racing rig. It's a freightliner conv. and after a long racing weekend, there are SO many bugs on it, and it being so high, it's really hard to get the bugs off the front, especially over the cab.
I wonder if it is clear, and if so does it yellow quickly?

 

After my accident with the Crossfire when I went to the body shop to see the car they had the entire car covered with that stuff to protect it in the shop. Then they peel it off. I think that it was a great way to protect it. You are correct it doesn't look very good, but it does work. If you are going on a long road trip it might be good. Just take it off when you get there.

 

If it is non-slip and peels off of your car that easily, I don't buy that it could be used as a bed liner. The first time anything sitting on it tried to slide, it would just peel it off of your truck bed. It says one can covers 12 sq ft, so one can would probably cover about the area that a normal front end bra would cover. I wonder how long it would be safe to leave on your paint.

 

That's what I would be worried about, especially white. I'd be afraid it may yellow if left on too long.
I KNOW with my xf, I'll just take my chances and wipe off the bugs myself. I don't like gambling with stuff I love.
