Default XF wave?

I just recently bought my XF last weekend, and have a question for the Crossfire enthusiasts (besides me). My last car was a Jeep Wrangler (I still have it). For anyone who isn't familiar with Jeeps, there was something called a "Jeep wave", where two fellow Jeep enthusiasts would wave at each other as they passed each other on the road. I know there are other groups that practice the same habits (i.e. Corvettes, Harley Davison, etc.).

Is this something that you would expect if you saw another person driving a Crossfire?

Yes most crossfire people will wave if they see you and can react in time. You don't see one very often so sometimes you miss them. I even got a thumbs up from a plymouth prowler and a corvette driver.

I wave every time I see one. Sometimes they don't see me. If I have the top down, I wave above the windshield.

Since last year I have waved twice at two Crossfires, (only two Crossfires I've seen on the road), both have waved back, but I'm still not sure if a wave is cool enough for this car. I have tried Gangster type hand and arm movements with other car owners, makes me look cool and being over 55 I need all the cool I can get, but once some punk in a ricer pulled a hand gun on me so I gave all that stuff up, I figured I needed to Google up on gangster type hand and arm movements before I got myself killed. But back to the question, like I said I'm not sure waving is cool enough for the Crossfire, you know do you wave like you’re really glad to see another Crossfire owner on the road, or do you just kinda rise your hand in a simple but friendly manner? I'm workin on it. hooah

Crossfires are a rare sight around here. I did wave at a young girl (babe) in a new black Mercedes SLK 350 last night as I was waiting for the light on the off ramp. I was waving like crazy and got no response. ...?
Must be those tinted windows. ...Huh. . Nice car though!

Funny... the only time i use my manual switch for the rear spoiler is when i want to block out headlights and or to taunt the person behind me who is honking or tailgating... ITS NOT A WAVE IT IS MORE the "FINGER"!!!

they either get the message or they are stunned in their seats to see the rear deck ejecting a wing... have to admit its a rare sight!

they always back off... however i had this kid drive alongside me asking to "do it again"!

FirebaseD, I think that's Gangsta not Gangster... but I'm really not sure.
It was a simple wave... nice and polite, if you know what I mean.
She was busy chatting on the Blackberry impaled in her head and chose to ignore my friendly greeting.
It had to be either the Blackberry or the tinted windows. I have my pride. .

See what happens when I try and update my old man image? Just when I was lookin cool... so that's "Gangsta", I'm adding the word to my spell check now... thanks for helping me out Fritzau, if it were not for folks like yourself I would be lost in a world full of change, and here’s a "Gangsta" hand movement back at you.

I guess the XFire wave will look as if we're telling people "Our XFire is number one." hooah?

I owned a wrangler too and loved the jeep wave. I started the xfire wave in Richmond VA. I don't see many xfires but when I do, i get very excited and always wave. I luck out when it's a good looking man driving one. In VA, I see more men driving them vs. women such as myself.
