Thumbs up 7 Months of Grief, but the Car is Incredible

I was rear-ended on the I15 last October 21st by an undocumented immigrant (no insurance). I just got my car back last night. To attempt a description of this ordeal seems impossible, but here goes:

Nobody knows how to fix these cars...especially anyone associated with the Chrysler company. I bought this car from my cousin, who happens to be a five-star (what-a-joke) alpha dealer here in So. Cal. Yes, it's true...the most inept, oblivious idiots are those at the dealers. Finally a parts manager from local Dodge dealer (Frahm, Norco, Ca), came to the rescue and located some help from a German engineer. For the past 4 months, I've been told "about one more week" every time I called. By this time, I'm about to snap...so last night, finished or not, I was determined to take my car back! So, aside from a missing "wing" emblem on the back (I told them to leave off the "CROSSFIRE" letters only), a crack in the left tail light assembly, a broken lens on the right fog light, a torn weather strip on the upper drivers window, a broken plastic molding in the rear compartment, and a big black greasy hand print on the headliner...my car is DONE!!! I told them to order the parts and let me know when they arrive. I'll give them the car for one more day when they do.

So I left this morning for a trip to Big Bear. It didn't take long to take my mind off of all of the grief of the past 7 months. I love this car and in time I hope that I will forget about illegal immigrants, family members who are jerks, dealers who are idiots, and all of the other pain. The car is incredible, even if the journey has been rough.

How does the back look without the chrysler wing? Can you post a pic?

srt6_crossfire, I've been trying to upload that picture for a couple of days now and it tells me that there's something wrong with the forum database, and that an administrator has ben notified. ???

I'll keep trying.

I had a accident last Oct. also. Brought my car to a good local body shop. I got it back in Dec. You can't tell it was ever in a accident. Search accident and look at my gallery for pictures. No local Chrysler dealer here has a body shop. The Local MB dealer does and would have done the repair but the car was already at the other shop. I am very happy with there work. Almost $15k for the repair.
You just didn't bring your car to the correct place to get it repaired.

Have you noticed any difference in the way you car drives after the repairs? And by the looks of the pics, your driver's side airbag didn't go off?
I just got in collision with the damage in the exact same places minus the hood damage. The estimated cost to repair is over 4 weeks and $13,100. Everyone is telling me to get rid of the vehicle as soon as I get it back, however I have never been in an accident that had this much damage and my insurance company didn't total the vehicle.
I went to the repair shop to check it out and my XF was the cheapest (and least european) car there, so hopefully they'll do a good job.
