Hey at least now there is an option for everybody. Everybody is happy.
Yea everyone is or should be happy now.

IMO the CTD grill looks really good, better than the one that was just posted up, but i think their chrome covers on the stock grill look even better than their full grill... it is what i purchased and it is what i am sticking to, but the lower grill is another story.

Please get a real photo of the real grill from t-rex because at this point the CTD grill looks better.

Bah, words words. LOL.

Funny how people won't give CTD the benefit of the doubt yet are jumping to defend that tin foil thing. Funny.

Eh...please put me back on this list. Nobody has told me when this group purchase will end, but for now I'll just sit on the CTD upper grill, with the frame painted in SSB.

After all of the time that has gone by from the first post to the most current post, I would like to say thank you to Tino and CTD for taking the time to listen to us "Insane" Crossfire owners.

I look forward to seeing the finished product, whatever it is . . . (at least someone is making something for our cars)!

Thanks again Tino !

The picture I posted is at their website; it is real; that's my car. My taste is that the CTD bezel is too heavy and the screen mess too heavy and too open. I don't want that heavy, or any, center rib. Truth is, one needs so be about 10 feet or more away to get the right view.
Obviously, this is all a matter of personal design taste. I've got mine; I respect yours. I wouldn't make fun of or disrepect yours. The T-Rex stands on its own w/o needing to be painted. I see at their website that theirs goes for $700; that price difference will probably figure into some peoples decisions. Isn't it great to actually have a choice to best fit your desire?

The Trex looks like you just drove through a screen door. Way too much mesh.
And what is the deal with the lower grill inserts? They look a bit strange.

Ok,
I just read this entire post as I am new to this forum. I believe the CTD grill looks awesome. Please put me on the list for the upper and lower! The only thing that will change my mind is if the finished product coming in a few days looks horrible (which I don't see happening). I love this site, thanks to all the members for all the Xfire info to the new guy (me)!

LOL if you don't find that funny you're way to uptight. This forum needs to loosen the tie a little.

That Trex grill looks like utter crap to me, its my opinion. Why are the opinions of the people that hate the CTD grill the only valid ones.

So to counter all the back and forth I posted a funny pic. Oh well.

Still funny.

Also why did you ignore the fact that I indeed posted that "now there is an alternative for people that don't like the rib" I clearly state that in another post. Selective reading.

i made a few calls about the t-rex grille, $700 for the upper and lower grilles, but they are not available yet. they say 4-6 weeks before one is available to sell, you have to admire the way the lines follow the chrysler emblem on the t-rex. i think its not a bad option compared to the ctd mock-up, if it ever comes to fruition. i think the next year or so we might get some more aftermarket grille options.

I'm new here and all, heck I don't even have a pick of my Xfire up yet, and I don't mean to be rude. But does anyone know if there is a new thread on this subject. When I joined the grill was half way in the works now it seems forgotten. Is CTD completing this project. I'm very interested (as we all are) in seeing the product to purchase.

its been about a year in the making. i remember someone getting all pissed at me for talking about how long it took this thing to come out. i told them it would probably be six more months, i think its been four so far and still nothing.
