Yeah, I'm the one who sent them all the emails that got this started. It takes time to do research, find a manufacturer, make sure you have a market etc. I'm not going to be negative about it. I'm glad they even listened to my recommendation and were nice enough to move on it. They have the lower grills done and have posted pics. Thats a start and I hope by the end of the summer we'll have them.

This thread/idea seems to be dying...is the group buy gonna happen or not? I am ready to purchase the lower grilles, money in hand...don't need to see pictures of the grille on the car.

 

Where are you buying the lower grills I checked CTD and it seems like they don't have them.

I have e-mailed Tino to see if I could buy them outside of the group buy at a premium, and he said he needs an order of at least 10 units to get them produced.

 

I thought we already had an order of 30 (or more). What's up with that?

Me too. We have satisfied the ten unit minimum and were working on the thirty unit figure for a discounted group price, as I recall.

 

I emailed them already regarding group buy that we have in this forum and I still hasn't heard from them regarding the guidelines on how they'll gonna set-up the group buy.

I would suggest to keep emailing them to put more pressure in the manufacturing of the grills. The group buy can help them recoup their initial set-up and manufacturing expense.

I wish it will take only a short period to research and manufacture the grills but it just don't happen overnight! You have to consider safety issues also that these grills will stay in place so as not to cause an accident and later face a multi- million litigation.

And since we don't have any other alternatives for the grill, all we can do is wait unless another company will be willing to manufacture it for us!

next week we get the finished prototype to fit it into the car and make some nice pictures for you. i hope you will like the grille.

finally we have finished the frame. it will be painted today so we can fit it begin of the next week in a crossfire.

i hope you like it. the mesh in the picture is not finally fixed on the grille. only to show you how it looks like.
