So North, you never said what the significance of "North" is.
It relates to the Town of North Attleboro where I've lived my entire life. Everyone refers to our town as "North". This applies to all the sports teams from town also. I was just out of high school when I first applied for the plate. My actual first choice was IRISH but someone beat me to it.

At one time the high school was doing a fund raiser selling NORTH plates which many folks displayed on the front of their cars. I thought that's great. Someone robs a store with a promotional plate on their car and the police will come looking for me because the witnesses said the plate number was NORTH. It never did happen though.

When questioned about the plate later in life, I use to tell them Ollie was my uncle. Some people actually believed me.

As Paul Harvey said, "And now you know the rest of the story...Good Day!"

They wouldn't give me this plate....QQQQ.

Here in Rhode Island it would make a goodly amount of sense, especially spoken in a Soprano's dialect

But seriously folks, I really liked.....2CEDAR but they can't make that plate either.

Not to introduce politics into the forum, but I was a precinct captain for the Obama campaign and my current Xfire plates are:

OBAMA 08

Well, at least it's a "black" Crossfire.

After a little thought, it came to me in a vision, I just ordered XPHIRE, figured that was appropriate since my initials are PH. So to me it does double duty

I don't have a middle name....already have two first names.

Peace
Paul Henry

One of the more humorous plates that I've seen was on a Porsche Boxter:
MY BOX

It had a female driver. I have no idea how that one made it past the censors.
