I like the red and black interior on the crossfire....especially on a black car...but my guess is it's not for everyone.

I'm thinking the blue interior probably looks better in the flesh than in the photo. A smurf always looks better in person.

The best place to take it for routine maintanence is your own garage!! Save time, money, and headaches by changing the oil and filter your self! There are tons of threads on this forum about how to do it and the part numbers for the needed parts. Trust me, it's easy and is much better to know it was done right.

I meant for stuff I can't do myself. Back in '78 (before kids) my wife & I bought a brand new Corvette off the showroom floor.....(bad judgement), drove 10 years / only 5 or 6 thousand miles / year. After about 5 years most of the brakes were leaking fluid.....I bought all the parts and had to replace them myself....cost a fortune just for parts. Pits (corrosion) formed between the pistons and cylinder walls....had fantastic brakes....when they worked!

I'll bet the cedar interior looks good in a gold car. Is the XFire a 2007 or 2008?

Strange question. When I'm on a nice curvy road I feel like I'm driving a very well engineered and built car. However when I need parts/service then I feel like I'm driving a mercedes.

Just traded my Xfire for a MB SLK 350 last Sunday, so this still fresh for me.-- I agree with those who say that the Xfire is neither a Chrysler or a MB, the Xfire is unique! and that's why it is such a special car. The looks, the comments, and the fact that you have a car that looks like no other, plus you do not see many Xfires on the streets.
I have to agree that the MB is superior. Interior is way more on the luxury side and the engine of the SLK 350 might kick the xfire's butt (not the SRT!)
Withntht said, I miss my Xfire but love my SLK already.
Don't forget Crossfires are beautiful and UNIQUE!!!

We've owned Dodge and Chryslers and driven MBZ before.

Crossfire looks like a forward thinking exterior Chrysler design ...........

.....but it definitely feels like a Mercedes-Benz when you're driving it.

The car probably feels that way because Europes automotive TUV standards are more stringent when it comes to mechanical and performance engineering. And because of Mercedes-Benz's compliance to those standards coupled with their manufacturing and high performance heritage, Crossfires mechanical platform meets or exceeds those standards. I believe thats is what Crossfire owners are feeling when they talk about the Mercedes-Benz gene.

And we're not talking about distinquishing a cushy or firm ride.

I think MB not Chrysler when driving my roadster. I too have badged it with "powered by MB" and a MB window sticker. I will soon have "Crossfire" covering the Chrysler name. This car is so German. I know of no other Chrysler that drives like the Crossfire. Patty

honestly I was looking at both, and I picked the Xfire mainly because IT IS SO UNIQUE. under the hood its the same car as the 230 but lighter and with much more throttle response. I love the Xfire and plan on keeping it for a very long time. It will def be a collectors car. I love the clash of german and american engineering..
Sooooo Preeeeeety

I believe you meant to say it is the same under the hood as the 320. The 230 is supercharged, But I certainly understand what you mean.

Nothing in this car feels like a Chrysler.

Even the doors close like a Mercedes. "thunk"

Interior is 100x better than any Chrysler I've seen in the last 20 years, even the 300 (granted, that's not saying much!!!!! )

I only bought mine because of MB. I have owned 2 new Chrysler products and they are junk . cheapest looking interiors of any motor company. The Crossfire is a beauty and runs and drives like a MB. Only reason I bought it. It is the prettiest body Chrysler ever put out. Love my Crossfire.

I feel like I'm driving a Crossfire. It is a Mercedes with a Chrysler designed body. Honestly though, I don't care what it is other than a cool car that I love driving.

The solid, almost heavy feel to the car feels German. I have owned a number of other German cars in the past. Those that have know what I am talking about. (other than your typically tinny Volkswagens)

I had a 450 SL that I loved however I think I like the Crossfire more. It seems to have more power. I like the looks of both of them.
