Default Keeping the rims clean?

Is there any way to keep the rims clean? It seems almost every day I have to go out there with a rag, and take off all of the brake dust mostly off the front two rims.

Does anyone else have this problem? And what can I do to prevent/lesser the brake dust?

change the brake pads to rotex gold, folks who have, say that the wheels stay cleaner.

The best way is to have Rotex Gold brake pads installed in place of your originals. This usually takes care of most all the dust problems on the wheels.

Mmm. Both of you said the same thing. I'll look into that. Thank you both very very very much. It was beginning to be a nuisance although I HAD to keep my car clean.

Definitely change the fronts to Rotex Gold!!! The difference is profound. No more dust than the stock rears now, which is quite acceptable.

I had the Rotex put in a while back but they seem to squeak more than the original pads. I even had them turned and everything. Anyone else have this problem?

Yup I have the rotex too. I am still happy with them. They grab great and make way less dust.
Most of us have only changed the fronts.
There is lots of info here, try searching "rotex".

~ only during the cold winter months on a rare occasion (rears only) ... i added brake grease to the moving parts... worked like a champ.

Speaking of which...should I bring high temp brake grease or do you have enough to share? I want clean wheels, but I pass in front of my headquarters every morning and I want people drawn by the amazing looks of m Roadster...not by the audible pollution of squeaking brakes.

The Rotex Gold worked for me, too!
