New Car a few questions
Just got my '05 crossfire it was new with about 300 miles.
They won't have my owners manual til Thursday.
I wonder if anyone can answer a few questions for me until I get my manual.
1. The button that cause the skidding car to go on an off is that traction control or DSC?
2. Is it off when its lit up or when its not lit up.
3. If its not DSC can it be turned off.
4. The cupholder is there more to it or is it just a terrible design.
5. Does nav work without the disc or does it always have to be in.
Anything else a new owner needs to know right away?

It is off when the yellow icon in the middle of the speedometer is constantly lit. The icon will light up when it is on and active (snow, rain or heavy throttle application in 1st or 2nd gears).
The cup holder sucks. The ash tray gets in the way of the shifter too.
The correct tire pressure is 32 psi front, 33 psi rear.
The black **** in the middle of the console controls the side mirrors. The side mirror heaters are activated when you turn on the rear window defroster. The dashboard vents get all the air, if you want defrost or foot heat/cooling you have to close them with the knurled wheels.
Many U.S. spec cars were shipped with the manuals in the pocket under the trunk floor to the right of the centerline. There should be an abbreviated manual in the pocket in the center console.
The tank holds about 16 gallons (97 octane). The low fuel warning light comes on with about 2 gallons left. If you're driving with a heavy foot that means 40 miles.
Have fun, it's fun to drive.

Oops, should be 92 octane. I had just been involved in a discussion of what the red landing gear legs on late ME-109s indicated and the wrong number stuck in my mind.
