I picked up my Crossfire one year ago today -- and have been enjoying every minute of ownership since. In that year I have racked-up 26,558 miles (got the car with 3,001 miles on it), changed oil twice, have pretty much burnt through the stock PS2s, and have washed/waxed it more times than I can remember. My ride has been problem free with the exception of a few minor TSB items (rattle in hatch, squeaky spoiler) which I fixed myself, and a leaky driver's side window which the dealer fixed under warranty.

So happy anniversary to me and if you see my driving around today you have to buy me a present.

Did you get the extended warranty?

 

I popped off the inside cover and applied a liberal coating of BMW lubricant #10. It's a nice, thick waterproof grease.

 

No, I did not. I was quoted $1,900 to take it out to 7/70 and I couldn't justify it to myself.

 

Sweet. After one year I still smile every time I drive it. I imagine it will be the same after two as well.
