How fast have you been in your Crossfire?
On a highway, I've done 150, but it can be bumpy. Had to slow down to pay a toll; best $.50 I ever paid. Unfortunately, a cop was notified that I was coming. So, he clocked me at 85. I informed him that it was my pleasure to pay that ticket. He smiled the entire time knowing that I had been going much faster. As I understand it, the Crossfire limits your speed to 158.
At the track, I'll do 120 in the straightaway. For some reason, racing has slowed me down on the highway, which is a good thing.

with the number of people making these posts, odds are someone here will get caught at these speeds--
above a hundred and your insurance will get rich$ and your license will disappear.
(no safety lecture 'cause I'm thinkin the best drivers on the planet are here)
Just a little bucket of water on this thread for good measure...

I still can't figure out why these cars don't seem to be going as fast as they actually are. I thought it was just me at first but so many others have posted that same comment. Either way I have run 150 mph in my stock 04 Coupe and it was still pulling too !! I would like to do this more often but I can't imagine not having a license to drive and having to just look at my Crossfire sitting in the garage with only good memories of how fun 150 was. It is the fastest car I have ever owned.
163 in the U.P. of michigan. State trooper was kind enough to let me know (and see) what was on the laser gun!
Thank god he is a buddy of mine and already "pre-scouted" out the road before I went on it!
We went on a short drive after that........he told me that his cruiser has nothing for me!!!

I,m just courious but what is the redline on these cars? At 160, what is the RPM and is it differant between the Coupe and Roadster, Automatic or stick?

Still waiting to get enough milage for a top run. Have taken it to 120mph for a short burst. Found it very stable and rock solid steering gear.

157 MPH. Going through Alabama. Staright stretch for about 13-14 miles before I chickened out. But damn it felt good! I will never get it going that fast again. It is just not worth it if I wreck it.
I've only had the 'ole girl up to 115 MPH (and she got there in a matter of seconds). She's been at /or over the century mark a few times and has always been solid, smooth and not even breathing hard. I am looking for a safe location to "let her breath a little." I'll let you know when I do.
Drive safely,
Drive safely,
I'm too chicken to go too fast yet. I only go fast, say 100MPH, when I'm passing someone on a two-lane highway. I just don't need the punishment-greater-than-it-should-be ticket for speeding.
