well here is my idea for a xfire intake not had time to research cause i am at work. ok take off the silver engine cover place this on mass airflow to create intake. i know it is gonna suck hot air but it will sound cool and takes like two seconds to install so i can switch out easily if i have to. all i need to know is if this will work before i spend the money. if i remember correctly the mass air flow is 3.5 inches just don't know about clearance issues. so if this is completely dumb tell me. just a thought.

Scuse' my ignorance but why do you want your engine sucking hot air when it already is set up with a dual cold air induction? Sorry I don't see the benefit.

no there is no point i just want a little motor sound. my exhaust sounds awesome but i want a intake sound. i know sounds a little dumb but i love the way intakes sound on cars. is there away to get that sound and still have stock set up.

I have to admit, they did sound pretty good. I just don't know how good it would sound on our Mercedes V6.
you’ll be sucking hot air, but it will make that 'gurgling' 'sucking' noise. there's really no way to duplicate that sound with the stock air box... there's silencers designed in that hush that 'whoosh' sound.
