Still learning what everything does inside the car. How do you find out how many miles to the gallon you are getting? Is it on the digital reading on the dashboards? If so how do you find it. Sorry I'm a bit thick.

Nothing so technical. Fill up tank - set odometer to "0". Drive a lot - until you need gas again. Fill up tank - divide the number of miles you drove by the amount of gas you needed to fill up the tank...

I average 26-28 MPG. My all time best was 30.8 MPG on a trip to the eastern shore of Maryland.

I find I get better gas mileage with the more miles I put on my car. 10k -20k I got around 26 Now I'm near 23k and I'm getting 27 pretty consistently.

All city driving, 18 - 19 mpg. I shift mostly a 3k rpm and use 5th gear as often as possible, but I do have fun with it. Early '04. The engine does have a miss at idle that the Chrysler techs can't feel and the engine isn't reporting any errors (so of course it doesn't exist), so it could be my low mileage is due to something not functioning as it should.

Ditto... and I DO ride my car hard and fast... I mean, isn't that how its meant to be driven? Sorry but this is NOT my Sunday ride - this is my every day ride and I am enjoying the heck out of it!

Personally, even if I got only 10 MPG, I would still drive the car hard!! And I do not care how much gas costs...

Have them check your Transmission Control Module (TCM). That was my whole problem (for 4 months - tons of stuff under my name about that!) and ever since they replaced that part, she's been driving like a dream!!! Ask the dealer to check it out... if its under warranty, push to have them check that out!!

If I can help out in any way, please PM me and I will assist in any way possible! Good luck!!

I have a 2004 LTD Coupe. Here's a screenshot of a spreadsheet I keep.
I've used this for every car I've owed, since the creation of spreadsheets (shows he's a geek).

I don't get great mileage, but it beats the 13 MPG I was getting with my SUV.

I consistently get 31 mpg on the highway trips. I have a 6spd and I use the cruise control as often as I can (with the top down of course). In the city, where I get into it more often, I average about 19-21 mpg. Where I live, there is no rush hour or even highways that I take around town.

I have found that the less MPG I get, I.E., the faster I go, the more I smile while driving the beast.

I've owned my coupe just a little over a year and have always gotten
30 mpg on trips. Up mountains in wind, etc. Really has been amazing.
I've been luck with my xfire so far.

I have the 6-speed MT. The service department won't even look at what is wrong. Last time it was in there was for the 'popping' noise, which they didn't fix, but they tore up the rubber around the drivers door seal. I was going to complain, but I only have 11 months before it is gone. Everything else that I said was wrong, I was told I was making it up. They didn't look at it and diagnosed the car was in perfect working order after a 4 mile test drive.

Chrysler doesn't care about it, so I'm not going to either.

I do appreciate your offer though.
