Tomorrow the wife and i are going north , stopping in every state we go through , first stop will be Ga. the next morning we are going to NC, Del., Cont.,Penn., NJ, NY now ten days have pasted, now to Niagara Falls ,,two more days have passed . Now to Mich., then Ill. another day has gone by, now Route 66 to Az., from Az back to Florida , but the long way north through Tex., & Ark,, back down through Ala. and somewhere around the first week of Sept. we will be home again.
No. not in the crossfire, two many miles for a car that gets 15 mpg LOL.
Pm me your # and maybe we could stop in your state, for lunch or dinner , !bring your crossfire i would love to see it in person.

on the 4th day of our ROAD TRIP we are 170 miles from home.. LOL we stopped at my Dauthers for a few days. and it became a few + LOL.
Tomorrow July 13, we are leaving the state of Florida, we will be going North on I95, stayinng somewhere near Savannah Ga.
Tuesday we are going into South Carolina, spending the night near Little River, Sc .
GraphiteGhost, I will give you a call ,to see your schedule, if we don't get sidetracked in Ga.

up date on my road trip.
sorry to say, it didn't work out to meet up with GraphiteGhost ,at least on this trip.

while in Niagara fall , I had spook to Beaner a few days before , he was gracious enough to come down from Canada ( we didn't have our passport ) we had dinner and talked and talked. thanks Brian for meeting up .

Now we are in Detroit,, that's right Needswings. we met up with Rob and Liz for dinner and afterwords Rob drove us around to see some of Detroit, after dinner we stopped for ice cream and more talk. Liz and my wife could talked all night,, while rob and i just talked a little LOL. thanks guys for your hospitality see you in Florida soon.

got to Rudy's spent a day and half with him and his great family. got to see another v8 being put into a crossfire.
as we went west on Rt 66 we saw a white crossfire, going the other way of course.
got to Arizona, stayed with my brother then we went to Hoover Damn, then to Las Vegas, went to see L.O.V.E. tribute to the Beatles . then to the Grand Canyon.
while on I-10 east going to New Orleans we passed a black limited with Delaware Plates
tomorrow we should be into the state of Florida. jim

 

Road trip is over.. we are in Melbourne Fl at daughter's we went 9534 miles from July 9 to Aug 26. tomorrow we finish up to Ft Lauderdale,,,, saw only 3 crossfires..... Fl to NY, Niagara falls to Detroit,to Chicago to, Grand Canyon , Las Vegas then on our way home to Florida. had a great time but is it so good to be home.

 

That is some trip, good for you.
You put on about the same miles that I have since bringing it up from Ft Lauderdale in November 2011.
I saw some of the Grand Canyon some time back and it is absolutely amazing, the Hoover Dam was enormous but I expected that, the GC was ten times what I expected. Everyone should see it if they can.
It makes Niagara Falls look like a leaky tap by comparison for being awe inspiring.

 

Damn! You missed what would have been the best part of yopur trip! Are you afraid of the heat in Texas? Air condtioning is a part of our life here. No probelm. Sorry we missed you!

 

we were all over Texas stopped in Galveston family there . worked for General Dynamics in Waco 1969 to 70 then went to Ga with Lockheed.
as we were coming home ward, i came up on a Y in the highway,, I said to my wife , do you want to go left to Dallas or to the right to Houston ?
she said on our way west we went through Dallas, so lets go to Houston,, so yes we were all over Texas.
