My 06' Fall Dragon Run pics
The time has come again, the time to drive the Crossfire the way it wants to be driven, driven on route 129 aka "The Dragon". This is the second time I've been on the Dragon with the car and 4 years in a row total and the car was awesome. I set this up with my old car forum guys (www.contour.org), so you'll see some other cars with me, especially my buddies EVO, my next car. Enjoy the pics and lets try and set up a Crossfire run of the Dragon, especially with the large group of Prowlers that I saw on Saturday!
This one is near the Fugitive Dam overview, called this because they filmed the movie "The Fugitive" remake with Harrison Fords character jumping off of the top of the dam, pretty cool.

Speaking of that EVO!

Home sweet home, well for the weekend anyway.

"Head to Head" competition...well not really, but the Crossfire is NO slouch!

Chillin on the side road, right next to Deals Gap resort.

Open up and say AHHHHHH!

The mountains go on forever and ever and ever and...

Right in the middle of our group.

Our group consisted of 11 cars, 5 Contour SVTs, my car, a S2000, a newer Cougar, my buddies EVO, a Focus and a Golf, quite a variety for sure. I really hope we get to set something up for next year. For some of you its a long drive, but there was a BMW club there from Canada and thats longer than I drove. Speaking of my drive, its 615 miles one way and worth every bit of it. For the weekend I spent a total of $350.00 on gas and food and souvenirs. The cabin cost me $113.00 for 3 nights, but that was with the group discount and the regular price is only $50.00 a night. So for about $500.00, its money well spent IMO!

Very nice indeed. One of these days... One of these days...
I drove an EVO last year sometime. I don't think I can drive that everyday. It is very quick and fast (and fun) but the ride is waaaaaay too harsh for me.

AB, we'll have to stay in touch and think about something next year!
By the way, I like the shot of your XF reading the sign at the Scenic stop, boy these XF's are smart!

I live in Knoxville, TN and the dragon is not that far from here. I'd be willing to meet up if you guys are going to plan a run. I just need like two - three weeks notice so I can get back home as I'm on the road all the time.
