My son, "Chris Mason" was killed in Iraq 11-28-2006
I have been gone from the forum for a while and I do not expect to return anytime soon. My son CPL Christopher E. Mason was killed in action in Iraq, on Nov 28, 2006. He was going into the battle, standing toe to toe with the enemies of this nation... My son has honored me because he was wearing the uniform of the United Military at the time of his death, and he was defending this great nation... and he humbles me because I can not go and do it myself...please remember my family in your prayers... my son was a Christian soldier, and he became God's hero. You guys are like Crossfire family to me an I wanted you all to know. hooah.

Your son is my hero, and his sacrifice will NEVER be forgotten. You, your family, and your son will be in my thoughts, prayers, and in my heart. I am so sorry for your loss. May God hold your hand each and every day. My heart aches for you.

My deepest sympathy to you and your family. Your son is one reason we all can drive our Crossfires freely around this country without fear of danger and harm. He stood up to defeat evil and for the pursuit of liberty not just in Iraq but also to America.
I am honored and I salute his bravery to serve this country so that we can all enjoy democracy and our freedom more than any country in this world.
God bless your family and God bless America!

My deepest sympathies and condolences for you and your family, I share in your pain. I am a 9/11 survivor and lost my youngest Daughter, Son in Law and a Nephew on that day. Your son was on the front lines so that others could live free. May your Son be honored and Rest in Peace!

My condolences to you FirebaseD. Being the son of a Marine I can understand part of military life. My father was fortunate enough to make it through two tours in Vietnam.
I myself could not get into the Corp... they frown on people who've had open heart surgery.
My wife and I as well as my parents and family will say prayers for you and your family.
God bless and keep you strong in this hard time.

As I sit here, Safe in my home, I know it's because of the men & women who serve...no one can feel your loss in the same exact way but, know that every day we (I) will say a prayer for those in harms way. I feel honored to be part of this list of people whom you have shared this terrible news...try to be comforted in knowing that he is safe in Gods Hands now!

What more can be said. I'm so sorry for your loss. Having 2 sons of my own I can't even imagine what you must be dealing with. We all mourn your loss and pray that the pain will soon be replaced by only those good memories I'm sure you hold of him. Our thanks for his service to our country and warmest wishes for your recovery go out from across the country.
