Default 3 Buttons Behind Review Mirror

Hey Yall,

I am used to driving a classic car so the 3 buttons that light up 3 small LED lights behind the rear view mirror, I have no idea what they are for. Can someone enlighten me?

~ it is your "homelink" system... you can program your garage door to these buttons... up to 3 doors.

Can also be programmed to operate electronic gates, lights or home security system.

They light up? I've had trouble finding the dang buttons at night since I bought the car.

Are the lights red... or green to match the dash?

They do not light up. When you press the button, a small red LED will light up, but the buttons themselves are not illuminated.

I also believe you can purchase modules that you plug into outlets and then lamps into the modules. You can then turn lights on in the house before entering.

First thing I did was program the left button to open the garage door and tossed the original opener in the 'junk drawer'.

I wondered why anyone would need three garage door openers.

It finally dawned that one was for home, one for the summer cottage and one for your mistress' condo.

A European convenience not immediately apparent to us colonials.

For me its one for the 'in' gate in my neighborhood, one for the 'out' gate, and one for the garage.
