Question Wiper arm position question...it's driving me crazy!

Hello everyone,

I have an annoying question with the operation of my windshield wipers on the crossfire. The wiper blades themselves due a great job. The problem seems to occur in the overlap pattern of the wipers. The right passenger side wiper does not go far enough onto the drivers side, so it creates a little water puddle that does not get removed by the left driver side wiper. This little puddle of water at the top intersection of the wiper blade pattern then runs down the windshield causing you to wipe the windows again...and continues until the puddle is no longer there. It is very annoying. If its a light rain...I just push the wipe button once to do a single wipe...but I have to keep doing this frequently until the drip is done.

Does anyone else have this same problem...and if so...is there an alignment or adjustment that can be done to resolve this problem?

It looks like its just designed that way...but any inputs or recommendations would be appreciated.

Does this bother anyone else? Is this caused because the wipers are to different sizes?

So...who's got the fix?

Thanks.

you can remove the arm at its base... a nut secures them & adjust the blade to the desired position.

this may help.

I understand the problem that your talking about and I have never owned any other cars that do this but it doesn't bother me that much I just wipe the windshield 1 or 2 more times.

Just drive faster, then the water will travel up the windshield, away from your field of vision!!!

Thanks Andrew...I will try the adjustment. I was hoping to get a little more feedback from crossfire owners. Do other owners have this same issue when it rains or is it just my car? Comments? Thanks.

It's the way the windshield wipers work by design.

If you want to eliminate most of this... apply Rain-X or something similar. This will allow the water to be cleared more easily. Make sure you apply it to the wiper blades too as it will keep the squeaking down and keep the blades from drying out.

Cheers!

I also use Rain-X, it greatly helps with that problem.

I apply RainX whenever I wash the car.

Form over function.
It is the way it is...
The size and slope of the windshield make the car look good but leave that spot unreachable by the blades.
Measure the arm and arc pattern and you will see there is no way around it.

Thanks STRYFOX...You are right...so...I'm going to have to keep score now.

That's "2" Wish this was different vs "5,872" I love this car.

I guess I can live with that!
