Ride of the Month

Has this forum ever done a ride of the month award before? Might be a nice touch to encourage member participation. On other car forums I've belonged to, nominations are done, then the top 3 nominated cars are voted on with a poll. The winner of the poll is the winner of the monthly award. The winner was usually featured on the main page with pictures, mods, bios, etc.
Just an idea I thought I'd throw out there. Anyone interested?

I think the only moderators that are active on the forum now are Andrew and myself. Do you think we should start a monthly thread that has a poll question where members submit photos of their car and other members vote on it, or do you think the admin. should choose the car of the month.

Andrew, what's your opinion ?

I agree, Go with a poll. Start a thread, Let people post pics and info on there car then we can all vote. But the mods will have to keep an eye on ip address from the votes. No ballot box stuffing, LOL.

We'll have to figure this out since the polling on this forum only allows 5 choices I think... If we have more than 5 cars submitted then we'll have to start additional threads with polls and do the math... Also, how should we honor the winner of the month ? Perhaps a separate thread that posts his/her photos and specs. and a little blurb ?

I like the idea, it kind of keeps people on their toes to do new things which can only help the community since there's little to do. Also a little write up for the winner should be submitted by the winner so new and old members can read up on what's been done to the car.

There is a vB hack for a member of the month on vbulletin.org so I think we can mod it to have it be a ride of the month no problem.

OOooo, and maybe a calendar as well...pin-ups of all these sexy cars.
