Everytime i see another crossfire on the road i want to get next to them and check them out. I was beside one today, but the girl was on her phone and didn't see me/ignore me. Another time i was trying to race a old man in a white one, but he ignore me too.

 

Don't feel bad I get that response at times also, why??... I don't know.

 

I get high beam flash and sometimes honk.

 

The majority of Xfires I see around here are with women driver roadsters (no offense to those on here).

 

i get waves usually... sometimes a thumbs up only been ignored twice... both times women drivers.

 

I usually see them when I'm driving my pickup, so it doesn't have the same effect. I saw a black roaster the other day and a coupe - in two days - both waved.

 

i have never got any attention from any of XF drivers, remember the old guy w/ the white one i was talking about, i even pulled next to him at the gas pump, and i know he seen me, but he didn't give it a second look. even though a guy with a civic was staring and walking around checking mine out.

 

I drove 2,000 miles to Arkansas to see my parents for the holidays and didn't see even ONE on the way out or on the way back for that matter.

Then I'm there less than 24 hours and I see one... it was an older gentleman in an aero blue roadster... and I was in my black SRT6... I tried to wave and honk, but he was on the phone and looked like he was in a bad mood, so I didn't honk twice.

Only other Crossfire I saw the whole trip was in the same town as my parents again... and it was a silver coupe (not sure if it was a base or limited) for sale and the lot was closed the day I went by (just after Christmas I think).

Don't be discouraged ... I've seen a few here in the San Francisco Bay Area and most are happy to smile and wave... so keep smiling and waving folks... it could be you next!

 

I usually try to do the head nod in acknowledgement. There are 3 other Crossfires in the area of town that I live in (planned communities with lots of nice vehicles usually), and they stand out even around the really expensive vehicles. I hate seeing them when I'm in rentals (due to traveling for work), but I long for when I get home to start driving mine again.

The women (no offense ladies) here in Central Florida are usually too busy with other things to acknowledge you. I did find my doppleganger though. I'm a 5' 3" bald Black guy of athletic build and I was at the car wash one day. Saw another Black guy albeit around 5' 10", similar build, black Crossfire Limited just like mine, tinted windows just like mine, this guy was bald just like me, and he had his bluetooth earpiece on the same ear that I wear mine on!!! Too scary for any kind of recognition. I think we both just realized how odd it was and went on our merry way...

 

i see several in my area and none wave. BTW saw one on the 101 outside san jose last night (sunday 20th).
of course I was in a taxi.

If I saw another xfire here i think I would faint. Even when i went to the dealership they treated it as if they found a rare diamond. It was sitting between the mercedes benz and a porsche.
