Traction Control Light
I test drove a Crossfire recently, and the Traction Control light stayed lit constantly in the instrument cluster. When you switched the Traction Control off the light became brighter. It's been a while since I've driven another Crossfire, but I don't remember the light staying on in the car. Or is this just letting the driver know that TC is on and functioning? Thanks! - Louie
when the light is off, the traction control is on. and when its on, it means traction control is off. i don't know what it means if its always on, and it gets brighter, sounds like something is malfunctioning.
It appears that it is always on because it is a very transparent plastic.
This occurs on all Xfires. The light is not on, the ambient light makes it appear that it is on.
When the T/C is off, it gets brighter because the LED behind the symbol lights up.

I agree that the plastic is transparent, but when off all I see is the outline of the icon. I don't see it in color, which is some shade of orange. I think there's something amiss with the TC.
can you see it at night? you i can see my TC icon during the day because it is orange, but its not lite, but at night when TC is on, i can't see any bit of the light.
Try spinning the wheels on some wet pavement with the tc on (light off?) and when the wheels spin if the light gets brighter then probably the tc is working.
I agree with brhertel and have had the same experience in my crossfire. My friend's '05 limited coupe also exhibits this same characteristic. I noticed this in mine from day one (used, see signature line below) and thought it was a problem until I found out that my friend observed the same in hers from day one (new).
Hope that this helps.
