Smile Traded In my Crossfire

I traded in my '04 Crossfire (14K miles). I only got $15,500 in trade for a 2005 GTO with 11K miles. I got a great price on the GTO though, so its not so bad...they have to make money somewhere. The dealer now has the Crossfire listed for 19.5K.

Unfortunately, it was getting difficult to get in and out of the Crossfire due an illness. Hence the reason for the trade-in.

I miss the German handling and the styling of the Crossfire, but I love the power of the GTO. The GTO handles like a brick compared to the Crossfire, it also looks like every other sedan on the road. At least there is some joy upon leaving stop signs and entering the freeway.

Enjoy your Crossfires! I have no regrets about owning mine!

Awww, you will be missed.
Although the GTO doesn't have any astonishing looks like the Crossfire, it is still a good looking car...and boy can you go fast. :-)

Enjoy the GTO, did I read somewhere Ghia has something to do with that car body as well?

Lochmoy, sorry to hear about your illness, I hope it's not too debilitating for ya.
The GTO is a unique looking car, with a Corvette motor (not a bad combo in anybody's book) plus, now you can double date.
By the way, did you get a 6 spd. or an automatic?
Good Luck with your new car.

I got an auto, as was my Crossfire. Sticks are fun but too much work in heavy traffic etc.

That is the one time I really don't like having a manual. Darn stop and go traffic!

Speaking of the GTO, I heard that Pontiac might redo the GTO so that it actually resembles the real thing. I've seen some pictures on the net somewhere I think. www.cheersandgears.com.

Sorry to hear that you had to let the Crossfire go.
The GTO is a heck of a car though. I was talking to my wife today about them. Had they made a GTO convertible - I probably would have bought one instead of the SRT6.

Enjoy your new muscle car.

Nice trade. While it may not look the best, I find the GTO's one of the best cars to drive, especially for a long haul on the highway. Great interior and power to match.

Congrats.

Also, don't feel bad about your trade in value, that is good money for it.

I like the GTO, great car to drive. Only thing that keeps me from buying it is the looks.
