News article reports that the body was found 150 feet from the car.

Love to know the rest of that story...wish the pictures of the car were better. That's crazy.

That is crazy. Reminds me of a something:
When I was a senior in high school (and on through college), I had a Jeep Wrangler and many of us would get together for off-roading in WV. There was one place in Page, WV that had some serious mountains and creeks (more like small rivers) to drive through. We would enter at the bottom of the trail and go to the top which was in a different town.

One day we noticed a car covered in dirt, leaves, and grime in a forest-like area off the trail a bit. A couple of us got out and went to take a look. Turns out it was a '69 Mach 1. Still had the WV plate on the back with a sticker from the early '70s. The car was mangled from the trip down the mountain, but it was all there. Thankfully there were no remains inside or near it (that we could see).

Since it had been sitting there for 20+ years, and it was halfway down a mean mountain, we just left it be.

We talked to some people about it and they remembered that many moons ago some guy drove his Mustang off the mountain. Guess since it was so hard to get to - people just left it there.

Pretty crazy. Sometimes I wonder if it is still there. Maybe someday I'll get back and check. Sad thing though.
