Default Warning light you don't see very often

Trying to get the problems with my Crossfire fixed I took it to Junction Chrysler in Chardon, Ohio. The service manager said I had too many problems with the car for him to work on and that he was not responsible for damage done to the car by the original dealer, Classic Chrysler of Madison, Ohio.

Took the car to Classic and they agreed to try to fix the problems (some of them for the sixth time at that dealer).

While trying to fix the driver's seat bottom heater they removed the seat (leaving a fresh set of gouges in the door sill) but couldn't get the required parts so they replaced the seat (leaving it in the full up back vertical position) and told me to bring it back when they got the parts. When I got in the car an unusual warning light was on so I brought it back. The service guy said not to worry about it, the seat harness was disconnected until the new parts came in.

When I got home I looked up the warning light (center left) in the manual. It indicates that the air bag has been disconnected.

Yes sir, you are correct... They have disconnected or screwed-up your airbag system... Don't you love the quality of workmanship and professionalism in this world today ?

If you run into a tree (god forbid) and get killed because the airbag didn't deploy, your family would be really rich after winning that lawsuit !

i got a stereo installed and they pulled the passenger seat to install all the navigation system stuff. that same light has been on since it happened(about a month) I have taken it to the dealer here in town and they told me everything is working fine because the car is not giving a code. can i re-connect the airbag plug thing myself? if so how would i do it?

If the light is on, the airbag is not connected or the system has gone haywire.

Personally I wouldn't care what the dealer is saying; I'm not going to wait for a head on collision to see if my airbag is working or not.

My 05 x fire is scheduled to have the heater element replaced in the driver seat, But after hearing this I figured I could live with the heated seat and keep my safety feature, The airbag. It just don't get that cold here in atlanta!!! The service advisor told me that they will need my car for the whole day, due to them sending my car out to be repaired, probably by some 18 y/o kid. So anything can happen at that place. Now if I lived in chicago somewhere I would consider it.

Kardiac ... just moved to Atlanta and had my heater elements replaced on the drivers side seat without any problems. Ask for Mr. John Cockrell at Nalley Roswell Chrysler Jeep, 678-942-0252. I have been impressed with their service after the awful treatment I received at Hollywood Chrysler down in Florida. Hope this helps ...
