Default Navigation Memory

Factory Navigation in the 2005 limited.
After I program destination memory it will ask to insert nav cd.
it gets my route and works fine.

But is it normal that it will ask for the nav cd everytime i want to go somewhere? And sometimes Ill have the compass showing, and then it will automatically disable nav, and then i have to insert the nav cd to activate it again...

Anyone else have any issues like this?

Cool Re: Navigation Memory

The Nav CD has to be reinserted when using the" Saved Destinations". The part about the compass has never happened to me, the speed sensor cable may be loose...just a guess.

Mine was doing the same thing, the arrow would go away and so did the clock until I reinserted the disk. And then, as I previously posted, it blew altogether just last week; still putting off going to the dealership 'cause it scares me too much, lol. Just trying to figure out which one will do the least amount of damage to my baby.
