Default I don't understand people...

Like my earlier post said, I just got my crossfire. Not a spot on it, and I'm keeping it that way, however...

I come home from the store, waiting for the garage door to open and my neighbor comes over with her little brat 4 year old.

I get out to talk to her and she jumps in my car! I mean almost literally jumps in the drivers side with her huge lard ***. I tried to lock it but couldn't find the lock button on the fob in time. Right away I'm worried about the coils in the heated seat part. Then the kid starts to put his hands all over the outside, licking it, rubbing it. So I pick the kid up and move him away. His mom tells him to wait a few weeks (apparently that's the wait time to not care about your car) and then calls me a freak.

So I'm stuck in a funny situation, I have a fat jealous ***** in my car who has a dislike for me because I'm 22, own a house and a crossfire. She then refuses to get out because she is determined to drive it. I told her she can not drive my car, no one drives my car but me.

Then she gets out and goes home (right next door). I thought, you know what, that was so f-d up, I'm willing to go give her a piece of my mind.

So I pull the car in for safe measures, go over and ring the bell. I told her I wanted to talk to her without the kid. Its not his fault she's a horrible mom (and a teacher by profession at that, scary ****).

Me: "Why did you do that?"
Her: "Do what?"
Me: "Call me a freak because I care about my car."
Her: "Oh I didn't mean anything by it..."
Me: "I've never had a sports car and it means a lot to me and I'm taking care of it."
Her: Again she says "I didn't mean anything by that."

So I tell her that she knows I don't have a lot of friends (hard to in a neighborhood of middle age people when your 22) and she has to be like that. I finish the conversation by saying "thanks a lot..." and walk off.

Also yesterday another neighbor came over and asked "what the hell did you do?" when watching me wax the car.

I don't get people, jealous f-n idiots who can't be happy for anyone. From now on I'm going into as*hole mode while in my neighborhood.

/end vent

Well you know, its just going to make my smile that much wider when I drive by and she's got nothing but her mini van and a bunch of cancer from smoking cigarettes all day.

I feel your pain my friend. I have neighbors that stare at me when I wash my car, probably because its in the 30's and I have a heavy coat on, rubber gloves and a stocking cap and know what, my wife told me some of them laugh at me because I clean my car so much. So much is once a week and it takes me an hour and a half. They can kiss my ***!
Your situation sounds a bit more militant, ignore her and yell at the brat any time you get a chance that'll scare him away. I got one across the street from me, caught him in my garage with his scooter, he'll never come near my house. Now some of you may be saying shouldn't you be nice and talk to the kid and the parent? Been there, done that, they don't listen, don't care, and I think most of all they'd love to see you driving a trashed mini van or suv just like them. Jealous a holes my friend.

Pat

and i get in a bunch when someone leans up/rubs their pant leg against my rear bumper... loading & unloading... a white car doesn't look dirty until someone pushes my dust around... back off buster!

the worst is my clear bra... everyone has to touch it at the seam & push dirt into it... once again... looks like crap until i wash it... step away from the vehicle...

that does it... i'm bring stanchions to carlisle... j/k.

damn it i need a bubble.

I deal with that everytime I drive my XF anywhere... everyone loves the car but then as soon as I get it the "older crowd" (and I use that term loosely) seem to stare down there noses at me. And I know it's not my grotesque appearance. They're just jealous!

take up crossbows as a hobby and start practicing on some cans in front of the house... betcha the kid won't be by anymore...

anyone has a problem, stare at them with a look that says what you're thinking and tell them to get off your property...

works for me, except i play with torches in front of my garage in front of the thugs around here ... would be a shame if i had to use it on something other than burning out old bushings...
just don't leave the car outside unattended... my car got egged first night i left it out... lucky for them i had my camera off.

but seriously ... don't let it get to you this is the real world ... sounds like your neighborhood is full of under achievers that will have little better to do than be jealous of you.

I just reply "funny, my Crossfire and PT Cruiser cost me less than your REALLY big ford SUV, who is the irresponsible one?"
I love people... lol.

Thumbs down Re: I don't understand people...

You acted like an uptight physco. You sound more like a 60 old than a 22 year old.

Be nice, act cool, enjoy the moment, and laugh about it later.

Good point. It's not his age just his attitude. Apologies to all those sexagenarian's out there.

If my neighbor fronted my wife like that I'd shove his shiny car up where the sun doesn't shine. Possibly sideways for good measure.

I'd be smiling & have a good attitude while I did it. No sense being unpleasant to people.

I have had the same problems, but now I wear my .45 ACP on my side 98% percent of the time. Walt Whitman said "fences make good neighbors" in my opinion guns do.

you'd get violent with someone if your wife and kid disrespected someone's property and personal space ? do you believe your need to exist is above his or something ? disrespect is disrespect ... he told her exactly what he saw as being wrong without being out of line....

you get in trouble with the police alot ? cause i'd enjoy watching you leave in handcuffs after your attempted shoving of said car...

i'm not a violent person but people with little regard for others hard earned life and belongings, such as yourself, have forced me to be one out of necessity... its a shame rather.

yup ... people in texas are very nice cause they are all armed and know everyone is armed ... disrespectful trash hides behind the knowledge they will be protected if they instigate a fight (speaking from experience living in NJ where owning a gun is out of the question)
