Angry This is Turning Into a Circus

Hello All,
I must say that my patience has long given way to impatience and is quickly turning to madness. It has been 3 full weeks now, going on four, and I know no more about the status of my Crossfire than I did in the beginning. It's becoming some kind of sick joke. Perhaps there is someone here in the auto industry that can give credence to what the dealer has been feeding me, but I think it's all rubbish. Here's what little I've been given thus far:

3/13/07
"we are close! not exact yet! check with me on thursday via email please..."

Thursday 3/15/07
e-mailed and got no response.

Sat. 3/17/07
"i am still trying to get a firm date from the zone. they were originally saying end of april but i truly think it is going to be red-tagged by my zone manager and i will send drivers if i have to assist in getting the car in a timely manner...hang in there with me and i will have a more definite on tuesday".

- He told me last week it was already red-tagged! And the end of April?!!! Has the damn thing not been built yet?

Tuesday 3/20/07
"still working with the district manager, i am not putting you off we are all over this! i just don't want to give wrong info...i really hope that same or i get a firm date this week...stay in touch and i will do the same..."

So wtf? I get the distinct feeling that I am just being di*ked around here and based on the myriad horror stories I have read about on this forum regarding the dealerships, this is a very dark premonition. Sigh, I guess I'll just continue to read the stories about everyone else having fun with their cars...

I think you need to get your deposit back and buy a used one.
Unless you got the deal of the century on a new one - there is no reason to buy new. I know a lot of people like to buy new, but in the case of these cars, you can pick them up used at such fantastic deals.
You are getting a Black Limited 6 speed right? If you don't mind me asking - what kind of price did you get?

Where are you in Maryland? I know that the DARCARS in Fairfax was scheduled to get an '06 Base Model in a couple of weeks ago. Don't have any idea if they did or if it's still available.

The price was really good, again because it is a friend of the family. $23.5k brand new. Perhaps I should be talking to him instead of his lackey...

I'm in Frederick, MD. Western Maryland and up near the MD/PA line.

If it were me, I'd pay $1,500 more for a 2005 SRT6. Take this one for instance, $24,400 no reserve, 8k miles. Heluva deal.

Not really sure what you are looking for but the DARCARS in Rockville just got in a used '04 or '05 black convertible. As of yesterday, it wasn't even on the front lot. Call Travis at 301-424-1700. Tell him a recent VERY SATISFIED customer sent you.

Oh my lord, Yes I would ditch that and get the SRT-6... it would be SO MUCH better.

Unless you HAVE to have the stick.

There was also a red '05? On DAR cars Rockville lot last weekend, not sure if its still there. You might want to check.
