Default '04 coupe vs. '05 LTD?

Hi,

I'm new here and am looking or a Crossfire. I looked at an '04 coupe and '05 limited. What is the difference between them? From an amenities pov they seem identical to me. Both are automatics and I can't find any different controls on the console.

Thanks.

no difference, Chrysler offered the Base model in '05 for cheaper. so the edition with all the goodies was now called the limited. not difference at all. except the '05 has roadster models and the only model in '04 was the coupe.

the ltd has a 240 watt infinity amp and subs ,home link remote control, heated leather seats and mirrors and luggage set. i'm not sure if the base model comes with all these extras.

An '04 coupe and a 2005 Limited are essentially the same. In 2004, Chrysler only made one Crossfire and it was basically fully loaded. In 2004, the Crossfire was available with an auto-dimming rearview mirror that has not been available since.

I personally think the 04's look a lot faster. Especially in white.

The 04's are faster if you get black.

I was under the impression that in '04, Chrysler only offered the base coupe. And, they were all black, and all were stick shifts.

nope... all '04s were fully loaded... (called limiteds in '05)...

in '05 the base version became available... all in black & 6 speeds with no real amenities (coupe & roadster)... limiteds available and the srt6.

If you're looking to purchase an '04 or '05, remember the '04 has a 7/70,000 powertrain warranty while (I think) the '05's warranty dropped to 3/36 for the powertrain.

Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

Cool Re: '04 coupe vs. '05 LTD?

The 2004's also have the 'auto dimming" rear view mirror and the 2005's do not. Also the Warranty on the 2005's is 3/36,000 and 7/70,000 the SRT6 is 3/36,000 only.

ebay has some 04's with the stick, so all were not auto.

Correct.
2004s were available with auto or manual. As were the 2005/2006 Limiteds. 2005/2006 Base models had manual only and 2005/2006 SRT6 models had auto only.

This is starting to get nasty. Everyone knows graphite is the slowest, next to yellow.

xfire2005,

The Graphite Metallic can only pull ahead going down hill, the Alabaster always overtakes all the others on the flats and leaves them in the dust going up hill! HA HA HA.

Well I was hoping to cruise to the Chrysler Nationals with these 2, but I'll be in my BLACK '05. Maybe I need to leave the night before so I'll get there the same time they do.
