I don't know if it is important to anybody else, but it is to me. When I was under the car I found the exhaust system to be made of stainless steel...Totally non magnetic...Wonder why they didn't advertise it.

i thought it was aluminized... why paint stainless black?

 

The exhaust on my '05 Base is not painted black, looks stainless.

 

oh ok, i meant the muffler section.

 

My muffler isn't painted black either, but I have seen limiteds that are.

 

The mufflers on my 2006 special edition roadster are not painted. Paint does not last on stainless steel. The only part of the exhaust system not stainless are clamps, bolts and converter covers. As I mentioned the stainless used is totally nonmagnetic so it has to be at least T304 not 409. Pleases me.

my 04' is painted it just looked at it today.

 

I could only hope it is stainless. That would be awesome. I would love to be able to crawl under the car to look, but I need to get down to the size of our cat to get under the thing. It just amazes me that when ever I try to get the cat out of the shop, he gets on his belly and crawls under the Crossfire! It's just not fair!!

 

Broom... And you can see the muffler if you put your head near the ground.
