Default 4 door replacement for the crossfire

well gents it may well be that my short love affair with the crossfire will end soon.

I may need a 4 door.

I am looking for suggestions as to the best replacement.

I am looking to spend about $35,000 max canadian (about $30,000 American) and need something reliable and as close to a crossfire as possible...

so far the best I've come up with is a 2006 mazda 6, v6 5 speed, nice engine and solid platform and reasonably priced.

any better ideas?

The Mazdaspeed 6 is nice. AWD, etc.
I've seen a couple on ebay lately for around $25,000 USD.

I am probably going with the Infiniti G35X. Or possibly a Lexus IS 250 AWD.

Still need to test drive the Lexus. These are closer to $40K USD however...

The Mazda RX8 is quite Crossfire-like in it's handling and performance (if you keep the revs up).

(One of my sons has an RX8 for his "family car".)

he mentioned he is in canada... tends to be cold there.. and the rx-8 tends to have starting problems in the cold that is not fixable, just nature of the rotary motor in it. i would do my research on that before anything as it could be a big deal breaker mattering what his climate is like.

Nothing brings a car from 70 to 0 faster than the words "I think I'm going to throw up."
