Question Confused...

I looked up on various websites that were legit and they said that the Chrysler crossfire (not srt 6) runs a faster 1/4 mile AND a faster 0-60 time then a MINI COOPER S. If that's the case i'm even more motivated to sell my mini and by one of these xfires...

I've used this site for reference:

Well when I was looking to get a car I test drove a cooper s and my crossfire on the same day. The cooper s is a lot slower than my crossfire. I actually drove the S after my crossfire and I laughed and said "this thing is supercharged?".

I know I use that website also. That's exactly my point.
It says xfire - 1/4 mile___14.7
0-60 time___6.4
Mini cooper S - 1/4 mile___15.3
0-60 time___7.2

Really? See with mine its that constant whine and that torque that just makes it seem fast i guess.

I have had a lot of cars in my day few of them with forced induction my fastest 1/4 mile time being a 10.2 with a trap speed of 145 mph, so I consider both these cars to be very slow. I had a grand prix GTP it has the Eaton m90 on it and I was impressed with it stock but I had to do a lot to make it reasonably quick, but the Cooper S just seemed to be entirely to slow. They could have made it naturally aspirated with the horsepower numbers they were looking for a lot cheaper. I think they supercharged it so they could sell a car that is overpriced and underpowered just like the Cobalt SS 205 hp, Saturn Ion Redline (same as Cobalt SS) and Mazda Speed Protege (Turbo) 170 hp.

Back before I purchased my Crossfire I was seriously considering getting a mini convertible. I did lots of research, checked out lots of dealers, the whole route. I went to a dealer in Portland Oregon and took a good hard look at one and fell in love with it. It was the color, interior, convertible... everything I wanted. I was ready to lay down the cash and drive it away. WRONG!! The dealer said I needed an appointment to see the car and schedule a block of time next week. I told him I had the cash right now. I was not going to finance or play games. Cash on the spot. Nope, schedule an appointment next week... That one dealership turned me off to the Mini Cooper. It really did not have to be that way. I bought the Crossfire right after that and am glad I did. No regrets at all!!!
