Default Yellow attracts

This is my first yellow car.
Closest I came to yellow was a gold Ford Maverick many years back.

So I say to my wife as I'm washing the car, "where are all the bugs coming from?" The bugs like to drink the water.

To which she replies, "floral nurseries use yellow panels with insecticide to rid them from the greenhouses."

Anyway, it sure is attracting more than the bugs. I park it within my view while inside the local coffee shops, and smile as I watch people walk to it and around it. The only time I get attention is when they know its mine.

That's strange, I thought my white one attracted all the bugs. It seems like i take it to the mail and back (500 feet) and it needs washing already. Just an example, I walk to the mail.

My wife was flipping me some garbage today about washing my baby before heading to work. I told her it had some bugs on the front bumper and windshield. She says SO??? Like come on girl... Give me a break. The thing is dirty!!!

It's True,

Yellow cars attract bugs and birds who then like to cr*p on 'em.

I once had a bright yellow Dart Sport w/big black stripes.

Looked like a giant bumble bee. I'd park it and come back after an hour or two and it would be covered in bird p**p. The cars next to it would be untouched. Something about bright yellow screams "target" to passing birds !

More on bird poo. 3 Days ago when I washed my car things started to turn ugly. I just finished rinsing the car when I looked up in the air. Not a good sign. Must have been nearly 50 sea gulls flying overhead. Now I live about 200 miles inland and I'm thinking where did these guys come from and why now??. Needless to say, I waited in the garage until the gulls flew away before I went out to dry the car. Oh yea, they all missed the target!

The only yellow car I ever owned was a 1970 Pinto. Paid $2,000 out the door and drove it 15 years. Both my sons learned to drive in it and couldn't burn
out the clutch. Finally sold it to a neighbor for $500. He pulled the head to check the valves and just reinstalled it because no repairs were necessary. The bleeping car seemed to be bulletproof. Maybe because it was yellow.
