Tinted Out
So I get a call today from my cousin who runs the local detailing/tinting shop and he tells me his best tinting guy is in and he can have it done today if I can drop it off at lunch. I dropped it off at noon and am anxiously awaiting to see the car's new look. They're putting on super high quality 35% tint. I guess when I get home I'll have to finally take some pictures of my black beauty to share.
Are you gettin 3M tints? I guess they know what they are doing, but if they use metallic based, it will block your radio reception in the rear window. 3M is rubber based.
Yea this is my 3rd car tinted in 3M and they are great. Might not stick perfectly on the back and rear side windows since it has those black dots that fade the edges, but you can't really tell. If you look closely at mine there are little air bubbles in some spots, but i don't think that can be 100% avoided if you have that kind of fade on the edges.
i've been complaining about my radio reception since i bought the car and the dealer tinted it and gave me a lifetime tint warrenty. i bet its metallic based and that's causing my radio troubles. oh well, i used to tint windows for money so i guess i can replace it myself.
