I've found a guy that will create a decal for us of whatever we want. All he needs a the jpg file. Let me know if you're interested.

 

this is the decal i plan to place under the spoiler. it's only about 4" long and about 3/4" wide, but it will still be readable. although my car is gray, the yellow adds a little visibility and attention to actual maker of the vehicle. i received these decals after messaging the headquarters of karmann in osnabruck, germany. it came along with 2 karmann badges (pic below). i plan to place these badges on each side of my crossfire; however, i don't know where.

actually, your car is the reason i requested them. i think they look good there, but do you think they would look good above the 3 side strakes? those are my options.

 

I didn't like it there very much. I tried several spots before. In front of the side strakes, after, above, beneath.
In my opinion it looks kind of "clamped" near the strakes.

 

now that i see it there, i agree. i'll just place mine where you did. what's your opinion about placing the 4" yellow karmann decal under the wing?

 

Ok, you asked for it ... A Karmann decal under the wing is a MUST. I wouldn't place a yellow sticker on a dark background. You didn't receive any transparent one? With a transparent one you only see the letters and it doesn't look 'artificial'.

I'm planning an additional decal placing ... I'll keep you updated.

I'm having this one made; one in silver, and one in burnt orange. Haven't decided which one I'll use.

 

just tell me how much they are with shipping, and i'll probably order one (silver). karmann sent me just those two shield emblems and the two yellow karmann decals. they sent a couple of karmann ghia postcards and a karmann ghia pin, and although i'd rather have had the larger karmann decal, i'm just glad they sent something.

 

I'd be interested in a silver one also if there made available to other members.

 

yeah, i know yellow would look weird, and plus, it's really small. i don't know where else to place the yellow ones though.

 

I'm having it custom made. If he comes through, I'll pass on his contact information, so others can buy them as well.

 

I would definitely like the Karmann decal in silver as well.

Do you have by chance a flat image of the Karmann decal in picture or logo form. The one I sent them is a crop from this picture, and it's at an angle. If anyone has a any document with that Karmann font, I'll take it from there.

 

Do you have a better copy of the yellow decal?
