I was very happy with the way my custom A/C trim rings turned out so I decided to spend another day in the machine shop. I made some door lock pins out of brushed aluminum as well as some radio *****. I never liked the factory "rubbery" radio ***** because they get dirty and look bad. I've included some pictures of them and some installed on my car. As do the a/c trim rings, these really add too the look of the interior. I'm working on some other parts too. The door lock pins are threaded on the inside so they screw on in place of the factory plastic ones. The radio ***** have a rubber insert so they press firmly on the radio just like the factory ones do. I am making some extras of each in case others are interested in them. The door lock pins with shipping will be $18 and the radio ***** will be $24 with shipping.

are the radio ****'s replacements to the rubber ones or do they go over the rubber ones?

Yes, as FP stated, they are replacements. They are solid aluminum with the hole in the center that fits over the metal shaft of the radio. I used a rubber cap that goes over the metal shaft on the radio and then the aluminum **** presses firmly onto the shaft. Works great. The ***** will include the rubber caps.

 

I'm getting the door lock pins and I'll wait to send payment till the instrument pins are done because I'll probably want a set of them also. Please advise when complete and hold my door pins for me.
