Don't worry dude, they have remedies for your small parts these days. BTW, if you don't want to get completely embarrassed, make sure next time you want to race a Xfire, it doesn't have a SRT6 badge on the back of it!

Jim, if you have no credit, and your parents have good credit, the best thing to do would be to get them to cosign on the car for you. If they are accepting of this car you are wanting to get, and about how seriously you are wanting to get it, they should have no problem cosigning for you. Also, you need to expect to pay probably around 200 a month for insurance for this car. This is an estimate of course, so for 6 months you are looking at $1,200. If you are purchasing a car that is $20,000 your payments will most likely be around $350-400 a month. Just try to make sure you get a good interest rate, and if your parents have good credit, this should be no problem. I wouldn't advise taking out a loan by yourself, but if you think that's the best idea, have at it. If I were you, I would hold off until you have about 1-2k saved up. If you should happen to lose your job for any reason, bills can pile up, and being in college, can really have a great affect on your life. And btw, books for college cost around 5-600$ a semester. I am a med student at the UGA, so I know! I would advise you to look through all your options. To sum it up...

-Have your parents cosign
-Look around and get the best interest rate possible
-Have a little money put back incase something happens
-Enjoy the car

Hi,
As much as I like my car I would not recomend it to a 18yr old. Main Reason Isurance will be very High for you. I am over 40 and no tickets or accendents and pay 104 a month for insurance. Depends on where you live.

oh Ya and Gas... Primum required 3.25 and up... Last time I filled up 3.54 gal.

New tires I just purchased $1100 for F1's all seasons installed.

AutoZone prices......
12 plugs to change cost from 3 -10 bucks each.
8qrts of Mobile One oil for an oil change 6 bucks a qrt.
oil filter $15-26 depending on Brand.
Brake pads about $50 front $40 backs. Rotors seen from $40 - 300 depending on brand.

I do my own work... if you dont labor will be high... I just found out in the area I live in there are only two techs that have been trained to work on the Crossfire. one is a rover that moves around All the dealers in the area and one works at one dealer only. My Repaire book is on order and I contacted the local tool guy just incase I need special tools... I know I will..

It is a very cool car and that goes without saying. But it is not a cheap car to maintain at all, as others can tell you about.
If you do buy see if you can get the extended warrenty try to get the bumper to bumper one. it would be well worth the cost.....

I got it on my sons used Dakota truck and he is covered for years and would only have to pay $100 deductable on work. The cost I think was 1800 for the 5 years on his loan.. well worth the money.. he is 21 and in college. oh ins on his truck.... $300 month.....

Buying my extended coverage now, dealer didnt offer it... I got my Crossfire at a none Chrysler dealer.

Crunch the numbers before you buy... and dont think about trading it in anytime soon you will be upside down in the loan.... Prices are falling on the cars and trade in value will low. Which is sad

Just my 2 cents worth......by the way I will most likely never give mine up I think it will be come a collectors car in the future.

Mini's are cool but every tom **** and Harry has one. Get an Xfire and you will love it. I love the fact that I am about 1 of 3 people in my town who has 1.... and it just looks dam good. lol

I would say one thing though... the interior lets the Xfire down, its like they spent loads of time making the outside look dam good and then thought **** it lets put some cheap plastic and oh some stupid driver/passenger pockets in the car!! - but you cannot expect the world for a car which costs about 15K second hand and is like new.

I saw a listing of the top 10 cars to insure and the SRT4 was second on the list. The Crossfire wasn't listed. I also traded my 06 Mini Cooper S for my Crossfire. I wanted the Crossfire when I bought the Mini and couldn't afford it at that time. Now that I have the SRT I do not want another Mini. I could spend six grand and have 210hp with the Mini or nothing and have 330 with the SRT. No brainer!
