Spensley:
Sorry to say this is bogus information, since the Chrysler reps at the Carlisle Chrysler show informed the Crossfire group the production ceased in March/April 2007 time frame. Whatever 2007's that were built, are the final Crossfires...

This 'news paper' is one of the most reputable in the automotive business.
Time will tell.

As are "chrysler reps" at shows...they'll tell you what they think you want to hear...not saying they mis-represented anything...but they are less trustworthy than "Newspapers"...

'automotive news' is one of the most reliable automotive publications.

I'm not sure what the article means by "adding a tire pressure monitoring system" because we already have one, just an idiot light but it's a tire pressure monitoring system.

Did they remove that feature from the car after the first year?

the base car did not come with this feature... but in '08 it will be mandated across the board... and required for all cars from my understanding.

There was no "base" model in the first year, it was either manual or automatic. Later they offered the base, Limited and SRT together with their convertible versions.

So the base didn't have the TPS, I think they also removed the dimming rearview on the base?

Yes, a TPS of some sort is required for all cars after a particular model year, can't remember which year.

The base model came out in 2005 - black w/gray cloth interior, no TPMS, etc.
The 2004 Crossfire was just a 'Crossfire.' It would evolve (in effect) in 2005 to the Limited. 2004 was the only year for an auto dimming rearview mirror.
