Default Old Topic: Luggage

Picked up my 05 Limited Coupe last month with 9 miles on it. Dealer never heard of free luggage. Contacted Chrysler Customer Svc., and they said they would contact the dealer's parts dept. to get me my luggage... Yeah, sure.

So I called TRG, a fulfillment house that coordinates the luggage for DCX. Gerry Clawson (324-692-0717) is the only person at TRG with whom you should ever talk about Xfire luggage. She receives a report every Tuesday listing the sold cars eligible for the luggage and the new owner's addresses. She then sends them the bags. If you ain't on the list, you ain't gettin' the luggage.

I ain't on the list. Something about cars involved in dealer trades, yadda, yadda, yadda. She said she will contact Chrysler and chase down the situation, so I'll keep you posted. Nice lady, actually. Just doing her job.

And I never got the Nav CDs either. You know, it shouldn't be this hard.

Life is strange! I knew nothing about the Luggage until UPS delivered it about 2 weeks after I'm purchased my '06 Ltd Roadster on 5/18/07. The instruction book for the Navigation Radio was missing but the disks were not. If Chrysler will not send them to you copies work just fine. Let me know if you need help.

I also bought my '05 coupe last month. Dealer bought it from Chrysler auction so I am considered to be the second owner (the dealer is the first owner). No luggage in the car. I will contact the person on your message but I believe I am not on the list to get free luggage as I am considered to be the second owner. This may be your situation also. If your documents indicate that you are the first owner of your car, you should insist on getting the free luggage. My car had 15 miles on it when I took delivery of it. Good luck with your car.

I bought my '05 last month also and am considered the second owner. If you contact TRG they will give you a sweet deal on purchasing a set of luggage. I ordered a set for my SRT and just got it on monday.
Call Gerry Clawson (314-692-0717) for a price.

Hi,

Sorry if I'm not doing this right but I was wondering if the person that posted the number for Gerry Clawson (324-692-0717) has a different number. This one appears to be a non working number. By the way, just bought a new 2005 SRT6. I'm picking it up on the 1st of August. Thanks for your time.

Default My error: area code was wrong

314-692-0717 not 324. Company is TRG Accessories, and again the contact is Gerry Clawson. Sorry for any confusion.

Do you know if this applies to new owners of Crossfires in Canada?

62Thunderbird,

Thanks for the correct number. I may have just read it wrong. Nonetheless, thank you.

Does not apply to Canadian owners, but then it never hurts to try either.

The luggage is great - has the Chrysler wings and serial numbers for tracking lost luggage.

Only one problem - when you fill them up they don't fit in the trunk. When I drive solo, I put them in the passenger seat, but with two of us, I have to drive the 300C.

This is a letter I received today from the friendly Chrysler Customer Service Assistance Center regarding luggage:
Thank you for contacting the Chrysler group regarding your 2005 Chrysler
Crossfire.

This offer is not available for consecutive owners.

Thanks again for your email.

Sincerely,

Talarisha

This is true even if the first owner - the dealer in this case - didn't get luggage. (TRG will sell me a set for $600!)

Ain't that a b*tch... Hello fleabay.

Hi,
The few that have sold in the last month have gone for over $300 & one over $400 on eBay.

I'll put first dibs on it. But I haven't even found a picture yet so I'm not even sure what it is. I have a 2006 Roadster so I'm guessing that this fits into the Roadster trunk- top up? Top down? Both?

the previous decision. Therefore, your request must again be
respectfully declined.

corporate records.

If, at some future date, we can be of assistance to you in some other
area, please let us know.

Thanks again for your email.

That's that. Guess I'll wait until cash flow permits a luggage purchase. But here's a question: Does the luggage when loaded actually fit the coupe storage? Is it fitted, or is it just general luggage? I was told that it is the same as the Swiss Army brand. Is it quality stuff?
