Default Extended Warranty

I've had a few minor, but if not covered by warranty expensive issues, with my car -
catalytic converter and heated seat failing. They were covered under warranty but this got me thinking about the extended warranty. Could you imagine what a gearbox would be worth on this car?

I live in Australia and was quoted by my dealer AUD $1,995 for an extended warranty. No doubt I could haggle as dealer prices are always inflated.

Has anyone bought an extended warranty in Oz and what did they pay?

Cool Re: Extended Warranty

Try here, not sure if the prices quoted are just for the U.S but its worth a try. The prices quoted here are from Chrysler directly and not the dealer, whom you know will mark it up.
