Hah this is a truly silly thing, but do you name your cars?

My brother has a Contour he calls Connie. My ZX2 was Vindi. I believe my Xfire...is Dirty Mary. Hah my FI suggested it when I was listening to one of his techno cd's in the car, and the chorus says something about, "My name is dirty Mary, your sexy secretary..."

not yet, I can't figure out if she/he is male or female... Dr. Jekyll/Mr. Hyde would be a good start I guess...

Nope. Mine's simply referred to a "The Crossfire". Although if I had to pick a gender & name, it would be a blond-haired German girl with a horned Viking Hat and a Sword. Possibly named Brunhilda...

Hiya AimeeJ,

As it happens, my wife's Montana and my SRT-6 both have names. The
Montana was named by my son when he was about 3. He saw his mother
driving down the road towards the house. He pointed and shouted "Bob!",
as in Bob the tomato from Veggie Tales. So, the Montana is "Bob".

My wife named the SRT-6. She came out while I was washing the car, and
noticing the windshield wipers were pointing away from the glass (so I
could wash the windshield), picked up a towel and holding it like a
matador, shrieked "torro, torro". So, the SRT-6 is "El-Torro".

Kinda makes them members of the family instead of merely being our
transportation.

The SRT6 is "Chuck".
300C is Clyde.
The WRX is Scooby.
We also have a 4-Runner named Fred.

It has been my wife's idea. Kind of silly but fun.

My wife named her crossfire "punkin" hence the user name, I'm the one using the forum so... I've got a 97 Dodge Ram Sport named "Suzie" from CCR's My Suzie Q song and I'm currently looking for the correct name for my black SRT6.

Any suggestions?

Not really, but after a discussion with my female friend one night, the Crossfire was for a brief time known as "Count Blackula" and has now been dubbed "Blackbriar," after the project in Bourne Ultimatum.

LOL! Mine has that name too, especially when my fiancé wants to take her out.
His brother said it looked like the Batmobile from the side...I was horrified, but now he keeps calling her that. She is offended.

Talking Re: Do you name your cars?

My wife calls the FX "my" car, I call it the "black car", which is really my car...

The 300C is the white car.

The diesel Dodge is just "The Truck".

My Xfire's name is Jessie. It's strange I have always have thought of the car as a female for some reason. For the amount of attention I give the car you might think it was a girlfriend of sorts!

I don't name my cars but recently I was told that stick shifts are named after boys and automatics are named after girls. Never heard that one before.
