Ok guys, I tried searching and reading up on this but it's too damn confusing. Plus, the situation with MY car doesn't make sense. I have ONE wrench showing and it says 100 on it. Yet, the dealership I just bought the car from changed the oil so the sticker says I need an oil change in 6,000 miles.

SO! My question is, how the hell do the wrenches work and service A or B etc... AND, what is the rule of thumb with this car? How often does the oil need to be changed? My Charger SRT8 runs on Mobil1 0W40 (same oil) and it's only every 5,000 miles. Is this car truly 7,500 miles???

Please help... And the maintenance manual that came with the car is confusing as hell. It lists every possible checkup procedure for EVERY maintenance period! And it doesn't give mileage either... Very different from how my charger's maintenance book works...

As I understand it, one wrench indicates an "A" or minor maintenance visit. Two is a "B" or extended visit. If the dealership changed your oil, and your xf says 100 miles, they neglected to reset the FSS reminder.
If they neglected this, ask them what else was forgotten. Such as oil or filter.
The Owners Manual says 7,000 miles.

" Change Engine Oil
The oil change interval for your Crossfire is initially set at
7,000 miles (Canada: 11,000 km)."


Mobil 1 is what is recommended and seems reasonable due to it's resistance to breakdown.

Now that you have had your oil change, you can probably reset your computer. Look in the owner's manual it tells you how to do it. Then the wrench will be reset.
