Default Crossfire KEYS

I lost my only set of keys dealership or stealership as some call it wanted $170 for the fob $60 for just the key, $55 in programming cost and $40 dollars in advanced shipping... for a total of $325 called my brother who works for chrysler can get them made for $65 dollars complete. I am extending the service out to anyone who wants an extra key made. PM me.

PM sent. They don't need the car for programming? Or old key? I just bought my car and it only came with one key.

If I give you a whole bunch of VIN #"s can you get me all the keys?

Just kidding. I'd be interested if it's $65 for the whole thing.

As far as I know I just gave my vin they preprogram them to the car right off the vin. I will be picking up my three sets today I will make sure everything works I just wanted to see if anyone was interested. You have no Idea how bad it sucks knowing my car had to sit in the garage for a week when its getting colder and snow will be coming soon. I have only had it for a month and I probably have two weeks before it gets stored. Depending on where you live i might have to pick the key up at park jeep and have it shipped to your house. I will calculate shipping cost depending on where you live. I have to drive about 45 min to get them so the more orders I can do at once the better. I might tack a dollar or two on there if I have to buy a box. I would hate to have them get damaged or lost in the mail. let me know if everyone is cool with that and I will keep you posted.

HIT a snag just talked to my brother and This might not be possible because of being able to verify vins. Anyone can pull a vin from joe blow and have a key made and steal his crossfire. I don't even know how we would be able to verify vins online I mean even if I had pictures with you and your car along with a copy of the title i don't even know if he would want to be liable for that. Let me know if anyone can come up with something.

Well I got the keys all is well they open up the doors and what not but are not programmed. On the other hand if anyone wants to go to the dealership and pick these up themselves the price was $50 dollars list price. My net price with his discount was $33.00 he had quoted me 65 that’s where I had gotten the number from for two keys. The dealership was going to screw me out of all that money because I didn’t know any better. Another great example is buying them off eBay for $70 there buying them at dealership pricing and still making twenty dollars. I hope this helps inform everyone that dealerships sometimes do this and make a butt load when they know you’re in a desperate time. In my situation not having any keys what so ever. I wish I could help out I might have jumped the gun not knowing that I only got my set how I did being his brother. You would have to go in with proof of title and ID. The part number is 5099684AA. Hopefully you can just go to your dealer and maybe tell them you know $33 is 10% over cost and they will hook you up. On the other hand I will talk to him but when all is said and done with shipping and what not you might only be saving a few dollars even if I could figure out a way to get keys where everyone is covered. PROGRAMMING is easy I hoped in started it up got out and hit lock and unlock worked just fine. But here is straight from the Crossfire manuals supplied to the dealership, or if you are a Chrysler tech, I got it from Tech Connect.

STANDARD PROCEDURE - TRANSMITTER PROGRAMMING

The Remote Keyless Entry Transmitter(s) can be programmed by the customer without special tools.
PROGRAMMING PROCEDURE

Transmitter programming by the customer is done by performing the following steps:

1. Insert the key into the ignition switch.
2. Press either the lock or unlock button momentarily twice.

Turn the key in the ignition switch to the ON/RUN position within 30 seconds.

Hope this is useful and saves you $100.

I ordered an extra key from Chrysler Dealer a while ago in San Francisco, CA. The entire key fob cost around $65. Chrysler actually order the key from MB. It comes pre-programmed and pre-cut directly from MB (of coz they need the VIN#). Since Chrysler did not cut or program it, they cannot charge any service fee, so the final cost to me was $65.

I think that dealership is not honest...

I just got my CF Coup last Saturday, 11 months and 10000 mile new.
I think I got it for a great price.

It only came with one key FOB. My local dealer charges 160 + tax.
I am trying to find a better price.

Hope someone can help.

Calling all CF owners......

HEELP!!!!

I only have one key and I'm very nervous that if I loose it I will be without my CF and looking at a lot of money to recover from it.

Other than paying my local ST-ealer 160 plus tax, is there another dealer out there that has them at a MUCH lower cost. Please respond with a phone # or website so I can order it.
