Default Dry storage batteries

Went to a flea market swap meet yesterday and found a guy who has several what he says are Crossfire, Mercedes-Benz batteries (no they are not stolen) cheap. I would like to pick one up for use in a year or so. Anyone know the shelf life of one of these. Sorry I did not get the part number but will have mine handy next month.

If it is in fact a dry storage battery and the electrolyte has not been added, then it could be stored for an infinite time. Is he providing the acid separately or just the dry battery? After adding the acid, make sure that you get a full charge on the battery before use.

How much does he want for them I'll take one if there is no electrolyte in them. Post some pix if possible.

Does he have a website?

Thanks for the reply like the infinite shelf life. They do not have acid in them I was told. Swap meet is only once a month and the guy has several cannot say how he acquired them on here but definitely not stolen. I will check my CF battery and PN and dimensions before I go next month. No he does not have a web site and the asking price was $50 definitely cheap in my book. Acid is $ 7.95 at NAPA for a quart.

Yes shipping Haz Mat and all but will check into it when I know it's the correct battery. Figured I'd offer $40 and see what happens. Can always go up... Wife is principal driver (with a large smile) but I do get a chance. We do love the car, all small inconveniences aside.
