Something to cheer you up.
If I was a betting man I'd say you probably drove that car for a resonable cost.
Typically, if a car has a high resale value the lease payment is lower. You are actually purchasing the depreciated value based on what the dealer thinks it will be worth at the end of the lease. For this reason, it is often marginally more expensive to lease a fully loaded top of the line model than that of lesser model.
In this case I doubt Chrysler anticipated that the re-sale market would fall out from under the Crossfire, and thus you drove that car much cheaper than someone who purchased theirs.
What will be your next flavour of the day?

This thread is so depressing... I just went in the garage and gave my Crossfire a big hug. It's snug as a bug in a rug (car cover) waiting for a beautiful sunny day to plant it's treads deeply into the pavement and expose it's beauty to the world and all who look upon it. Yeah, It's not "just a "car".
Woops!! Sorry Andrew,... I guess that doesn't help you feel better. Not workin for ya huh?
How bout... "It's better to have leased and turned it in than never to have leased at all". Hows that?
I'm sure it will find it's way to another proud new owner who will treasure it.
Peace and Happy New Year to all!
Fritz

I'll bet there aren't many other cars out there that evoke this kind of emotion upon parting ways.
XFires seem to just, somehow, be special.

I usually get bored and want to trade out of my cars every year or so, but I think this one is a def. long term keeper.

There have been cars I've missed, but the Crossy seems to speak to me like no other. I could stare at it all day and never get bored (I find myself doing that out the window at work often, I even go out and turn it around to get another view)!

After selling the car I had back surgery and took care of the reason I sold the XFire for in the first place. It wasn't long before I was back on this forum and made the decision I had to own another XFire. As they say...the rest is history and I don't intend to sell this XFire.
I also own another car and a bike I feel the same way about. There is a strong attraction and I don't plan on parting with them either.
A strong bond to an automobile isn't the easiest thing for a person to explain to an individual who sees a car solely as a way to get from point x to point y.

P.S. What did Andrew end up getting?

Now, it's an exotic for different reasons it's value sucks, and it is un-loved by its creators. Yeah, I guess you could say this car needs some love from those who root for the under dog.

My condolences on the separation, Andrew. I now have to walk out to the garage where the Alabaster white resides & stare at her for a wee bit...

I've got to look up my 1st Baby on Car Fax, & see where she is Now!
Anyone with a Car Fax acct or extra ones left, that wants to look her up for me?
It's like the 1st Woman, you always wonder what happened to her!

Not to bum you out...but just think of all the hours washing and waxing, just to have some ditzy lady flying down dusty dirty roads and paying no attention to the sound of rocks bouncing off the sheetmetal.
